ABOUT MUZBOZ GAMES Muzboz Games is a one-man studio consisting of a relatively un-mutated humanoid named Murray Lorden from Melbourne, Australia. "I grew up in the 1980's playing tons of different computer games on Apple IIe, Macintosh, PC, Atari 2600, C64 and Amiga, and I was enthralled by the art and science of it all! I wanted to create these worlds and experiences for others! I had a lot of fun making this game (over many years on and off!), learning to program a full & complex game on my own, with procedurally generated missions that are different every time you play! I still have a lot of fun playing it myself, and I hope you love it too. I'm super excited about hearing what you think! If you like it, tell someone about it!" - Your pal, Murray Information Seller:muzboz Genre:Action, Arcade Release:Oct 17, 2017 Updated:Oct 17, 2017 Version:1.0 Size:82.0 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating:Unrated Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal Gwarmaxx Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2010 4,446 376 83 NCC 1701 #2 Gwarmaxx, Oct 18, 2017 don't get it yet, but looks like a mix between DR2C and Ashworld... Basically, you can play the game fully and completely without any IAP's. It's balanced to not need them at all. But, if you want, there is a pack of 6x additional "Class Cars", which add a bit more spice to the game. And you can also buy "Booster Crates", which give you a random gun/ammo, some fuel, and some money. You can use these at will to top up your supplies, or just to go crazy! But you don't need to ever buy those, and in fact the leaderboards are separated into "pure runs" and "boosted runs", because I really wanted people to be able to go hardcore on the game, and compete on the leaderboards without any boosters. And for those who like using boosters, there's a separate leaderboard to compete that way too. I consider it very much to just be a Premium game at its core. You can learn more about the game here, in a dev diary I did about the design and inspiration of the game. It goes for about 45 minutes! But you can learn most of what there is to know in the first 5 or 10 mins. Enjoy! NOTE that this video is about 7 months old! So the game has been tweaked up and improved since then! Hahaha! Yeah man, me and my brother and a friend up the end of our dirt road, we played Gauntlet on C64 for hours and hours, sitting on the carpet in his lounge room. So many good memories. I also loved Spy vs Spy, from those days, and Wizball!! Strange multiplayer games! There's not enough of them these days. More recently I built a MAME machine with my own arcade sticks I made, and played all sorts of classics including Gauntlet II. Amazing achievements in gaming, those games. Really hoping you enjoy the game! MUZBOZ Well-Known Member Mar 31, 2012 96 0 6 Game Designer, King, and Lord of the Realm Melbourne, Australia http://www.muzboz.com #14 MUZBOZ, Oct 18, 2017 Awesome! Yeah, it took about 6 years to make, on and off, as I started teaching game design and production, and learning Unity, and all sorts of other distraction in between starting it and finishing it! I worked in the games industry as a game designer and producer for about 10 years BEFORE I started to learn programming and make my own games. So it was a long journey, once I started this game. I really appreciate the good vibes, thanks! I watced your whole video and really liked what I saw. The controls look very responsive and the whole permadeath thing is a plus in my eyes. I also appreciate the pricing structure...one off payment with iaps that are not pay to win but additional content that is totally optional. A shame you went the American setting though with the radio accent and the miles instead of Kilometres as I would have liked an Aussie setting, but no biggie. # One question the video didn't answer though, before I hit the buy button please; What is the save system like? Being a game with permadeath, I suspect you only have the one save slot, but when can you actually save? Anytime or only between missions? Or horror of horrors, you don't have a save option and must do each run fully in one setting? Good luck with the sales. # MUZBOZ Well-Known Member Mar 31, 2012 96 0 6 Game Designer, King, and Lord of the Realm Melbourne, Australia http://www.muzboz.com #17 MUZBOZ, Oct 18, 2017 G'day Stubbie! SAVE GAMES Yeah, the SAVE GAME system is designed as I would assume you'd want it to be. It basically just saves automatically after each mission ends, and it also saves after every time you do anything that changes the state of the game, like if you buy some more weapons or ammo while visiting a shop, it saves. So if the game is ever quit out of, or you force close the app, etc, you never lose anything. When you load it up, it just loads up to the menu, and you're up to where you were up to. So basically, you can load it up, play any number of missions you want, and stop/close the app whenever you want, and load it up later and continue on from where you were at. AUSTRALIAN SETTING Yeah! I'm a massive fan of Mad Max, I especially love Mad Max 2, so good. It'd be ace to make a sequel / expansion that's set in Australia! I've been thinking about ideas for things like that, so that's a great idea! Feel free to throw more ideas at me, for mechanics, enemies, vehicles, etc! It'd be cool to have a mission where you have to drive a fuel tanker to safety while mad buggy bandits are on your tail! PRICING STRUCTURE Absolutely! I wanted to make a REAL game. One that you can sink your teeth into. I didn't want to distract the player with popups and offers and stuff. I don't want to play those games, so I don't want to make them either! ENJOY!
