Bizarre. Tobi_b Member Sep 27, 2017 6 0 1 #3 Tobi_b, Sep 28, 2017 Hey @Asp, thanks for your feedback! This should not be possible, the way it is programmed. I also did a lot of testing and everything works fine. I guess you did not recognize the multiplication. As you can see on the first screenshot, some numbers have a "2.0x" on the left side of the line. So you have to add the product to the current sum! Maybe it showed you something like this: + 11.5 + 8.0 + 2.00 x 3.00 It would be great if you could check this again and let me know if it still does not work as expected Thank you! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #4 Asp, Sep 28, 2017 Hi Tobi_b. I picked up on the multiplication thanks. The screenshot shows -35 points for the correct answer of 35. Whats going on with that? Tobi_b Member Sep 27, 2017 6 0 1 #5 Tobi_b, Sep 28, 2017 Hey Asp, Thanks a lot for the screenshot. Are the three visible numbers the first three numbers of this game? You have to sum up all the numbers which appeared - also those which appeared previously and you do not see anymore! It´s part of the game to keep the total sum in mind while adding the new numbers. If you click on the "=" you always get the last correctly entered sum - add the new number to this sum. It would be great if you could try this again Thank you! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #6 Asp, Sep 28, 2017 Thanks for the explanation Tobi. I had also tried to keep a running total of all the numbers on each successive screen, which didnt work either! I can see what is happening now though, with just a single number or product needing to be added each time. Makes perfect sense. Tobi_b Member Sep 27, 2017 6 0 1 #7 Tobi_b, Sep 28, 2017 @Asp I´m glad it´s not a bug If you have the chance try it on an iPhone with a screensize of 4" or bigger. It´s optimized for iPhones and it looks much better than on an iPad Nonetheless this makes me think about implementing a better tutorial before the first game starts. On smaller devices the game logic and how the numbers appear on the list is not very clear because only 3 numbers are visible. On bigger screens you see up to 7 numbers and its more obvious that the task is to sum up all of them.. Thank you for the feedback, it helped me a lot! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #8 Asp, Sep 28, 2017 Didnt realise the iPad display was that much different from a phone. Youre right though, seeing 7 numbers would clarify the logic, but a good idea to mention about the one number addition in the tutorial. Anyway, thanks for clarification as Ive been looking for a more complex math app. I only have the iPad so will stick with it. The display is fine now I know whats happening! Tobi_b Member Sep 27, 2017 6 0 1 #9 Tobi_b, Oct 4, 2017 Hey Asp, I changed the app from iPhone to Universal so there is an iPad version available now. The layout does not look very good yet but I think it looks much better than before. I will try to make further layout optimization on the iPad in the future. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #10 Asp, Oct 4, 2017 Thanks for the update Tobi. Looks way better on iPad and I can now read the menus which were blank before. Good to have a challnging math app as most of these seem to be geared to kids arithmetic. Having said that I can only manage the easy time trial. Hope some more people join the competition.
