As a big fan of the previous version, I will surely be checking this out. As soon as I muster up enough courage to install iOS 11.0. Looking forward to this, and it will be first to run on iOS 11 (when I muster... etc.). anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #5 anthony78, Sep 28, 2017 This is pretty cool. A bit different than some of the other AR apps that require you to physically move your body and phone around the playing field to see. This one is more or less a straight display of the game on a surface with touch controls. So unlike The Machines, for instance, you can just stay stationary and play the game. That said, you still can pan into the action by moving in with your phone. And the lighting effects as well as just the clarity of the game on the playing field is quite impressive. Robosaru Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2016 120 13 18 #6 Robosaru, Sep 28, 2017 Thanks for the short review. BTW, the aiming is based on the camera view and then closest to you if there are multiple targets. So if you have 3 enemies around you and want to target just one of the in particular you can move the camera in close to the enemy you want to target. ayukoh New Member May 3, 2017 3 0 0 #7 ayukoh, Sep 29, 2017 I originally bought Reflex Unit (classic?) and was hesitant about spending money again to by the AR version. Even though they levels are the same, it feels really different and look really cool in AR. Would be great if some more stages could be added though with AR specific gameplay features. Robosaru Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2016 120 13 18 #8 Robosaru, Sep 30, 2017 More stages on the way in the next month or so! Robosaru Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2016 120 13 18 #9 Robosaru, Sep 30, 2017 I received some great feedback for the dynamic lighting, but also some comments that there should be road lighting to enable easier play in lower light conditions. I lost a boat-load of some of my favorite games, man. Totally sucks! I must say if you’re upgrading mostly for these new AR games, don’t do it. And no, there’s a bunch of these already out for the IOS 11. Most of these games are crap right now, (though there are a few good ones) but certainly not happening enough to sacrifice the stuff you’re gonna lose! At this point, I don’t really like the new App Store either. I’d wait a while at least! Just sayin’. There was a lot of work put into reworking the control sceme and graphics to work well in AR (scalable play area, real-time lighting, aim based targeting system).
