It's sort of a guided 'openworld' effect, in that you sling yourself around to fight baddies, collect stars (3 stars per level), and do boss fights. How much time you spend on a level will depend on your playstyle. You acquire credits by killing the baddies. You will need these credits to choose upgrades after each level. This game has roguelike progression, and some of your upgrade choices will carry over into the next run. It took me a few runs to develop a playstyle that I enjoy using. No two playthroughs are the same.. Below is my first time to hit Level 7, its on a second run.. Now I will start back at level one with all the progressional buffs that I have bought in my last two runs. This is getting fun..
