I think they are far too tight even so early on in the game. In some cases (such as Level 1-4), I presume that the 3-star time goal is to encourage discovery of the shortcut solution (the one I used anyway) rather than the "typical" route. In other cases (such as Level 1-3), I simply do not see a workable shortcut solution. While it is possible to meet the 3-star time goal via the "typical" route, the time constraint is far too tight. Can you explain a bit of the rationale behind these time goals? If such time constraints are already this tight so early in the game, I can't imagine with the later levels when the game may quickly turn into a tiresome gauntlet run over and over again. Kudos to Roger-NL for beating the game so quickly. pixelsplit Member Sep 9, 2017 21 0 0 Germany, Frankfurt am Main http://www.pixelsplit.games #12 pixelsplit, Sep 12, 2017 Thanks for your honest feedback! We invested quite some time to balance the star ratings. I can assure you that you can reach 3 stars in every level. We went back and forth between making them easy or hard. After several playtests we settled on the current timings, because 3 stars means to us mastering a specific level. But 3 stars are not needed to play through the whole game, you can unlock all worlds with 2-staring each level. But we'll keep an eye on this. If more people think the timings are not properly balanced we'll reevaluate them. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #13 ROGER-NL, Sep 12, 2017 Hi y2kmp3, the most fun in this game is going for the fastest times I think, the game is fun enough on it's own but competing on the Leaderboard is were the most fun is for me, as a leaderboard junkie this game does it for me. The level times are never unfair to my feeling, some levels you need to do 10 times or so but the game is fun enough to overcome this. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #14 y2kmp3, Sep 12, 2017 Thanks, pixelsplit, for the explanation. I appreciated greatly to know that these time goals were set after only considerable thoughts from you based on prior player feedback. Roger-NL is a master gamer, so his endorsement certainly speaks to the high quality of your game. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. We made the following changes: Added a Best time popup to levels that you have already beaten, also viewable by pausing Updated application icon Fixed a bug where the game could pause while in a transition screen Some slight performance improvements Optimized some background textures Reduced game file size Especially the last point was something many people complained about. We reduced the file size now over 50%. Also, here's a little secret: For all those who might want to buy the game today, maybe wait until tomorrow. We will start our first sale tomorrow (Thursday). [Version 1.1.2] Hi, we just released a new major update! We added a 6th new world (pink planet). Discover the new mechanic of teleportals! These arent the portals to complete the level, but they will help you get there. Going through one of these teleportals will take you to the corresponding exit of the same color. Your speed and direction will remain the same, so pay attention to where you are going! We hope you enjoy it! Simple, one button gameplay, very charming looks, plenty of replayability for those that look for that. Glad I took the time to play this one from my backlog, cheers.
