Aside from this significant problem, my overall impression is that this is a great concept that has been poorly executed. FrozenPepper Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2009 508 12 18 #4 FrozenPepper, Sep 6, 2017 Great thanks for the feedback. I must admit we haven't done any testing on iPad pro will immediately investigate what could be the issue, but we don't have one available so not sure we can isolate the problem. A fast possible (temporary) fix for the crashes might be activating "Performance mode" from the settings panel, but I currently have no clue about what the problem could be. Did the crashes occur in some specific situation or just (apparently) randomly ? Thanks again for taking the time to provide the feedback, I greatly appreciated it. Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #5 Grist, Sep 6, 2017 Instances of freezing In the beginner course for golf, the "hole" that is a bowl of soup -- can't recall whether it is the third or fourth hole -- has been the most frequent spot where the game freezes. It occurs when I hit the knight into the soup. There have been a couple other spots with similar freezes, but I can't remember their locations. I have continued playing after posting my original comment, and the fun factor is higher than I felt at first. Your game has a lot of potential. Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #6 Grist, Sep 6, 2017 Another observation The "soup bowl" hole on the beginner golf course where the game had been freezing is actually #5. However, after reading your post suggesting that I change the performance mode (I had been playing without a checkmark in that box in the settings), I am now playing with a checkmark in that box and the soup bowl hole hasn't frozen again. It's not clear to me what effect the performance setting has on game play; it appears to me to be higher performance when that box is checked. Is that correct? If so, the description below that setting is confusing. Thanks Zaraf Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2009 413 4 18 #9 Zaraf, Sep 7, 2017 It's a free game. What do you need promo codes for? FrozenPepper Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2009 508 12 18 #10 FrozenPepper, Sep 7, 2017 Thanks for the further details. Have just submitted an update to Apple with better device detection and handling, probably AntiAliasing applied to the incredible resolution of the iPad Pro was causing the crash. Performance setting, if toggled, decreases graphics and illumination quality reducing stress on device and allowing for smoother gameplay and reduced battery drain. English isn't our first language, so any suggestion to improve the description would be greatly appreciated, below a screenshot of current settings screen with the text we are speaking of (which also gives an idea of general GUI style in Bored Ogre) : Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #11 Grist, Sep 7, 2017 FrozenPepper: I didn't notice any deterioration in graphical quality when I played with a checkmark in the Performance Mode box, but maybe that's because the graphics are so detailed and impressive throughout your game. I enjoyed playing so much yesterday that I paid to remove ads and also paid to open the two additional golf courses. My only suggestion for improvement now is to offer an option in Settings to not display the words of the knights. I find that the word balloons are distracting, very repetitive, and slow down the game play quite a bit. Thanks for considering my suggestions. Check your PM (free to do whatever you want with those codes). About the "comic bubbles", totally agree, we are experimenting with a cooler system way less invasive, hope to have news soon on this regard, but also allowing to simply disable them seems a good alternative.
