Talk about spectacular level of detail! Bought and downloading. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #6 squarezero, Aug 25, 2017 Best blind $6 I've spent on the AppStore in a while. Not perfect, but damn good. Think top down MGS. Excellent graphics and sound, good controls, and great atmosphere. The voice acting is not bad, though the banter does get a little trite at times. The stealth gameplay has some depth (you can hide bodies, for example) and the set up and story are intriguing if not very original. Frankly, I haven't seen anything on mobile quite like this (especially releasing without fanfare) in quite a while. To be clear, my impressions are based on about 30 mins of gameplay (in what the dev claims is a 10 hour game). anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,124 703 113 #7 anthony78, Aug 25, 2017 Was looking for info about this game. Guess it was greenlit on Steam last year but never came out. Looks promising though. jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #8 jpgold, Aug 25, 2017 Bought this yesterday sight unseen. Looked to polished and up my ally. Only had the chance to play the fist "level" and it seems likes it's going to be pretty sweet. 5 hour flight tomorrow and this may move up the list. I thought we'd get something on the lines of Leap of Fate; brilliant, but something feeling a little jank or off...but this...this is something else. Still a little too early to tell, but each level does come with optional objectives to complete. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,124 703 113 #14 anthony78, Aug 25, 2017 So you thought Leap of Faith, which I absolutely loved, was a little off? And this is better? metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #15 metalcasket, Aug 25, 2017 Yes. Leap of Fate feels like playing with paper cut-outs, IMO. The characters feel like they don't have any weight to them. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #16 squarezero, Aug 25, 2017 Leap of Faith is fun in short bursts -- it's kind of designed that way. This is a very different game: very, very immersive. I'm on the second chapter, and the tension is off the charts. Also, so far the balance feels right. It's hard, but not cheap. When I get killed (and it's happened more than a few times already) it's because I rushed or got careless. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #17 metalcasket, Aug 25, 2017 I have nothing against Leap of Fate (sorry guys ), I think the idea's borderline genius and the implementation of said idea was fantastic, but as a dual stick shooter I absolutely can't get behind the feel of the characters as far as movement goes. Anyways, enough derailing from my side... squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #18 squarezero, Aug 25, 2017 Leap of Fate it is. Damn autocorrect. Just beat chapter 2. A few things to note: * Even though the game introduces the basic systems well enough, it's worth exploring the interface. For example, you can fast-forward through the dialogue by tapping on it (and the first time you try it you are given the option to turn it off completely). * There are multiple ways to achieve objectives. * Exploration is vital. Finding a nook to hide bodies is very useful, and that lock door you saw earlier may become an escape route later on. * Setting off a alarm is not a death sentence (though you may end up failing a secondary objective). In fact, some of my favorite moments in the game have come when I've managed to survive after screwing up . I can't believe this game came out of nowhere. I'm going to try to contact the devs to see if we can get them on this thread. gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #19 gaymerX, Aug 25, 2017 Any controller support? orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #20 orangecan, Aug 25, 2017 Ok a quick question please for those who are playing - I really didn't like leap of fate at all but I love the space Marshall games to bits, do you think I'll get on with this?
