There is arena for PvP. It's kinda weird but there are clans and a titan to fight. You can use your team plus a friend just like most games but you play blackjack. It works pretty cool. Most of the monsters have skills to use after x number of turns. Pretty good variety. Haven't spent a dime since it was in soft launch and I have 2 5* and a load of 4*'s. I'm not going to knock it for being freemium; whatever, if a dev wants to go that route then that's their choice. But this game's ridiculous with it. There are at least three or four currencies aside from common standard gold, a stamina meter, timers that can take up to 24 hours for a chest unlock, you can only hold four chests at a time so you're forced to grind old dungeons because otherwise you lose the special cheat you get the first time you beat the next new dungeon in your path effectively impeding your progress, ranking up your characters or "evolving" them requires material creatures that so far require a lot of grinding, and there are more times chests/key chests/daily chests/etc than you can shake a stick at. It's the game equivalent of the nuttiest grandma bankrupting slot machine you've ever seen. And as someone pointed out in the App Store reviews, it's not even very good blackjack. The only real 2 things wrong here (for what it is) are the stupid treasure chest timers, which are ridiculous. 45 minutes for the first chests you get and then it goes up, 3hrs, 8hrs, 24hrs and if you have 4 chests then you either wait for a timer or you spend gems to open them or you play levels and have to lose out on any more chests. The next thing wrong is how long it takes to be able to put together a good team, each monster has a number that represents how much it costs to put it in your party but you allotment is so small even at level 8 or 9 you can have 1 4* and maybe 2 2*s and 1 1* . This is not a premium game and it does not pretend to be.. I personally love the game, and all of the ftp trappings that go with it.. Gems packs are pretty cheap. I bought the $5.00 monthly gem pack and that provides plenty of gems for building up your monster box and all that fun stuff. If you do start to play, i'd recommend not getting the monthly gem pack (at first) like I did, but instead, wait for the noob offer to pop up. It will give you a 15 day gem pack, and a lot of other great crap that you can actually use. The noob pack will show up after an hour or so of game play, and the offer lasts for 3 days. It's Clash Royale meets Puzzle and Dragons, and its really quite fun.. Short Bursts.. Get in, spend your energy, and get out.. No reason to overthink it. Come back later and do it again.. It's the like the Comic Section in the back of the Sunday Newspaper.. Light and easy.. Digestible.. It's my favorite FTP game this week.. I'll give it 5.00 or 10.00 a month until i get bored with it... Great game.. My deck at rank 25 if a 5*blue dragon, 2-4*(1-green dragon,1-purple chick), and a 2* that gives shield. Does quite well actually. What game like this let's you build a dream team without effort anyways. Just stay patient and enjoy the free ride. They hand out gems well enough. I've bought one 300 gem rare summon and pulled a 3* the rest was pulled from rare summon drops out of chests/quests.
