Warlock's Tower is pretty cool, just started playing it. Game is super fun and challenging. Game is kind of like chess in that your character has the same moves as the queen piece. You have to plan your moves to get to certain parts of the level which can be quite tricky. If you like puzzle games I would definitely recommend trying this. This game is a lot of fun and can be enjoyed in short bursts. The theme is so incredibly unique and I'm a huge fan of pixelated games so I already can't get enough of this game. The puzzles will have you playing them more than once to figure them out and that's a huge plus. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #7 anthony78, Aug 14, 2017 Very cool puzzle game. When I first started, I thought, this is it? The first few levels are quite easy even without a tutorial. But things quickly change and its pretty dang hard and takes a lot of thought to figure out how to outrun/avoid enemies, etc. to get everywhere you need to go. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy a challenging puzzler. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #8 sugimulm, Aug 15, 2017 Thank you for the code, here are my initial impressions. Very fun and challenging game. Tap to move, the object is to activate the portals (my interpretation) while avoiding or manipulating the "enemy objects". Your character is limited to certain directions, but not spaces, not limited to incremental movement. Very well done, sort of like sokoban type puzzler with the added twist. Graphics, awesome, with the option to reduce graphics based on battery consumption or idevice. Sound, can't comment, playing at work lol Controls, responsive, if I made a mistake, it's me, not the game. Cons: hope you add an undo button, rather than a reset button. No a game killer, but the undo button would enhance an awesome game. Highly recommended for any puzzle fan, the price is well worth it. Awesome job and keep up the great work! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #9 anthony78, Aug 15, 2017 ^^ Agree about the undo button. That would be a great addition. retr0spective Well-Known Member May 24, 2011 915 17 18 Riverside, CA #10 retr0spective, Aug 15, 2017 This looks amazing! Not sure if I want to pick this up yet - I've never seen a game so "pixelated"! It's like the pixels themselves are pixelated...sorry, but I hail from the era of low-res screens when you were seeing "real" pixels all the time... gamingaficionado Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2017 69 1 8 #14 gamingaficionado, Aug 15, 2017 somebody still cannot tell left from right huh mindfungus Member Aug 4, 2017 10 0 1 Montreal #15 mindfungus, Aug 15, 2017 Last edited: Aug 15, 2017 hmmm it most definitely is an undo button. When you press [UNDO] the screen will flash blue and the game state will be set back one turn. You can even do it after being eaten by a monster! Maybe you are pressing the [↩] button instead which will take you back to the city screen. mindfungus Member Aug 4, 2017 10 0 1 Montreal #16 mindfungus, Aug 15, 2017 Last edited: Aug 17, 2017 haha yeah, the game was inspired by low-res graphics but we started playing around with shaders and subpixel effects. Yes I know my left from right as there is an undo button, but it kicks you out of the level (on my left), then there is a "restart" button that restarts the level (on my right). An "undo" previous step would be welcomed I FOUND IT!!!!! My damn old eyes! I do love eccentric and puzzle games. Going to buy this and see how it goes. shfrost Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2010 432 10 18 Artist Wooded area #19 shfrost, Aug 17, 2017 After 2 pages devoted mostly to the "undo" button, would anyone like to share their impressions of the game? I'm quite curious, as it looks like it could be my cup of tea. I did read the review, and I'm about sold, but a few more personal opinions wouldn't hurt. Or, maybe I'll just spring for it. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #20 y2kmp3, Aug 18, 2017 Very intrigued, since I was a fan of Warlock's Tower. Is this more a turn-based strategy game or a logic puzzle game that has an intended or strict solution? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
