RockstarKing New Member Aug 10, 2017 2 0 0 #3 RockstarKing, Aug 10, 2017 Am I the only one finding this game insanely difficult?! Oddrok Well-Known Member Nov 28, 2015 140 9 18 http://www.oddrok.com #4 Oddrok, Aug 10, 2017 Thanks for the thread @Boardumb! Ha, it's not that difficult Tip 1: Try different levels if the Pyramid feels too much to handle in the begining. All the levels have pretty equal difficulity, but some players find one easier than other, try them out and see which feels easiest to you! Tip 2: As you get bit further in the game you start to unlock new characters with different abilities(more hitpoints and maneuverability). New characters will make the game easier and will enable you to get even further! Happy playing! chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #5 chief78, Aug 11, 2017 Damn, so a one-star because it's difficult to you? Things like that keep people from checking out awesome titles. This is one of them. It's not incredibly difficult, in fact I find it pretty inviting for new players. I regret not buying the first game. Devs, you really nailed the movement and physics behind it! Fantastic game, loving every minute of it #### - CHIEF Oddrok Well-Known Member Nov 28, 2015 140 9 18 http://www.oddrok.com #6 Oddrok, Aug 11, 2017 Last edited: Aug 11, 2017 Thank you, overall user ratings and feedback has been positive, but there's always someone you cannot please. Hopefully RockStarKing gives the game another change. In other news: Game got a kickstart from Apple with great featuring! Loads of players on the leaderboards is a happy sight! We are working on fast fix update(or actually it's already in Apple review) *There is an issue with "Machine" Stage leaderboards, ie. they do not work at all! That will be fixed in the update. *Fixed buttons that were bit unresponsive from time to time. *Added little arrow helpers that flash few times in the begining of the stage, so players realise they have to tap instead of swiping. *Changed the icon a bit. We will release the patch as soon as possible. It's fun I just don't really see it bringing anything new to the table that the original didn't. Seems like you made a couple levels from the first one endless, gave it characters to unlock and slapped the name Cruise on it. A bit of a weak effort if you ask me but I'm not really complaining, I'll just play the first one. The difficulty makes this better imo EightRooks Well-Known Member Jan 13, 2012 627 0 0 UK #10 EightRooks, Aug 12, 2017 I suspect that anyone who thinks it's too difficult is reacting to the frankly insane amounts of inertia, which is one reason I dropped the original Power Hover after about five minutes. It's much less of a dealbreaker for me with this, funnily enough - devs, I like your work a lot, but I simply can't handle a collectathon (which is essentially what Power Hover was/is, IMO, redo levels over and over until you've picked up everything) where I don't have as precise, pinpoint controls as possible. Just being asked to dodge obstacles makes it much less annoying. MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,437 256 83 #11 MetaGonzo, Aug 12, 2017 Changing direction immediately would make them very different games. It's like skiing (or boarding I imagine; never done it); you have to carve a line, the smoother the better. I'm not saying that it's not hard; I agree that it is. But the satisfaction when you miss an obstacle by a small margin because you planned your route that little bit ahead makes it for me. These comments mostly apply to the original but I think the same (perhaps to a lesser extent) applies to Cruise. Just need some time to play the bloody thing now. CraigG Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2009 107 5 18 #12 CraigG, Aug 12, 2017 I agree. Although it took time for the original Power Hover controls/movement to click, the game was marvellous when they did. And I'd sooner have variety in gaming than everything feeling the same. And that's been the case right back to the start Defender/Tempest/Space Invaders/Pac-Man/Asteroids all felt suitably different. Do people these days really lack the patience to sit down for half an hour and master a game? MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,437 256 83 #13 MetaGonzo, Aug 12, 2017 Yes.
