I like the failure mechanic; rather than being penalised immediately for straying off the track, a meter counts down whilst off road and back up again on road. If the meter hits zero you're out. Not sure I'm a big fan of the "animated scribbling" aesthetic but it's only noticeable in the menu so that's a very minor gripe. Definitely recommend for a try.
