I think the powerups (like missiles and extra crystals) are new, but maybe they were in the original and I just never used them (you can find these powerups or you can use bolts, the premium currency, to buy them). The leveling up of robots seems very similar to the original also (it costs bolts to level up), though I think they added a new way of leveling up also (which is to use the robot, which reduces the cost to level up, or can be used to level up without bolts if you use the robot enough times). The bolts dropped seem to be at a pretty decent rate (decent enough for first level up on each robot type, though much less so for the third tier of level up for each robot). I'm on the second stage now. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far, except perhaps for the mission levels (I prefer the more thought out lane defense type of games over arcade style games). Fortunately there's a way to skip missions if you can't manage (though it costs bolts to do so). Overall, I'd recommend this. FYI I got a free code to download. Since it's worth the $3 anyway (and maybe more), I'll probably buy either the $3 bolt pack or the $5 bolt pack (haven't decided which yet) to support the developer. tripletoma Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Feb 27, 2014 64 1 8 Male App Developer at Triple Tomato Bangkok Thailand #7 tripletoma, Aug 19, 2017 Love it! I prefer this art style than the previous one. An upgrade system is much better. And It is a good idea that player can change a difficulty. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
