Downloaded because they said 'pinball' but it's actually much closer to pachinko in gameplay. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #12 Misguided, Jul 13, 2017 This. It's pachinko, not pinball. And modern pachinko, which is more automatic, rather than old-school where you aim and shoot each ball individually. Cool concept, looks pretty, but not actually very fun, IMO. vonknut Well-Known Member Dec 5, 2013 220 3 18 #13 vonknut, Jul 13, 2017 Yeah that video - wauw! ArthurTerry Member Mar 22, 2017 7 0 0 #14 ArthurTerry, Jul 13, 2017 It's interesting. I'd like to play more of it but level 17 is a real nightmare to get through. I suspect though there's very little skill/gameplay involved and it's just fire all special skills that it wants you to replenish with real money or grind (and grind) back up. Hmm. Will probably delete. There was little me jumping on the screenshots and thinking Odama. Would be a lot more interesting if you could complete every level through skillful aiming alone, but alas it's F2P... currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #16 currymutton, Jul 14, 2017 What are the IAPs? hydrodj Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2011 165 0 0 London, UK #17 hydrodj, Jul 14, 2017 Not sure we are playing the same game, there is no requirement to use the abilities, the game IS skill based and requires you to understand the level in order to pass it. You may use the abilities in order to bypass a level you are stuck on or if you fail a level 5 times you get a free ability to aid in passing the level, i have not used a single one but have failed and had to retry many times. I find myself waiting to get bored of playing this here and there and yet something in the chalenge keeps bringing me back. Very enjoyable and consistently interesting and challenging levels (obviously passed the first introductory levels). This is one of the best games this week and better than other games which are featured... Great game. The game instructs you to use power-ups in order to pass certain levels. ArthurTerry Member Mar 22, 2017 7 0 0 #20 ArthurTerry, Jul 15, 2017 IAPs buy Rubies which are the in game currency. In Story mode these buy more quills so you don't have to wait 30 minutes to have another attempt, items that I would honestly argue are necessary to complete and 3 star levels, and also to send in more soldiers and carry on a level when you've failed it. In Defense Challenge rubies buy heroes, gates and arrows by some random roulette section. If you can wait around a bit then the rubies are quite generous. Whilst I am being drawn back into it by some of the level design there's no way I'm paying for anything. It's a bit of a pity that the difficulty spikes before you can open Defense Challenge and I'm yet to open the third mode as level 24 is hard work. Yep, there's strategy and knowing which lanes you should hit and in which order but there's a lot of luck involved. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
