Dubious App Store description notwithstanding, the game itself looks intriguing! Is it a social freemium base builder/CoC-like, or an actual RTS? nodoctors Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2009 1,212 28 48 #5 nodoctors, Jul 6, 2017 Meh, that's just par for the course really. I ignore any testimonials in the app descriptions anyways given I only care about my opinion once I download it. The game itself is not a social base builder, it's a Clash Royale-type with larger scale battles. It's a bit more simplified in the gameplay department since you really only have specific placement of the titans and spells, while the rest of the units spam out from your tower. But again, this is made up by the fact that everything is done bigger. The map is a few screens longer than in Clash Royale, and I feel like I'm spamming out zergling mobs, so it has a pretty solid feel to it. Obviously I'm not a fan of the monetization, but there's some really fun stuff here if you want something similar to CR. If it looks intriguing, you might as well check it out since it's free. The TiltingPoint name is very familiar as well, since that company also helped bring out Tropical Wars with Vertige, which is one of the only base builders I ever kept on my phone just as a little thing to go back to. I'm actually almost max in it too a year and a half later, which I thought would be impossible in such a game. Fun little pirate themed base builder where you battle your ships instead of each other's bases. Check it out, but only if you're into such things. So far so good for TiltingPoint in my eyes thus far. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #6 Zeillusion, Jul 6, 2017 I really enjoy the clash Royale formula. This takes it and differentiates itself enough to be an awesome game. The time limit helps a bunch so you aren't playing too long of games. I see great potential for this game. I'm really excited to see what other clash Royale type games are to come in the following years. I know they aren't easy to make. A ton of work goes into them. Can't wait to see how this one pans out! It's more moba than small scale clash Royale. Enjoying it though. Just hope it doesn't get too expensive later on. RinoaHeartily Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2010 1,715 10 38 #9 RinoaHeartily, Jul 6, 2017 Clash royale u have control on your troops. When to attack etc. In cats the mechanic is straightforward you press play and the AI will work it out for u. I hope it's like cats although I feel it's more clash royale nodoctors Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2009 1,212 28 48 #10 nodoctors, Jul 6, 2017 Yeah, as I mentioned in my previous way too long post, you only have control of the placement of your titans and spells(though there are displacement spells that can move enemy units like a tidal wave that sends them backwards). The rest of your actual troops are just spammed directly out of your base tower when you tap on their icon, and there's a pretty good amount that run out so the field gets pretty full. You might prefer this take on Clash Royale honestly. BrokenMyth Member Jul 6, 2017 8 0 0 #18 BrokenMyth, Jul 6, 2017 SIEGE is AWESOME The game is fantastic. SIEGE is frankly much better than Clash Royale (who happens to be around for quite awhile). So there is a lot of time ahead to further improvements, and I am pretty sure it will become better and better as new players join the battlefield. The trailer is very poor at showing the game. Check the Video Update 5 for a bit more insight into the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZaigq5yqsY If you are looking to join a Clan search in-game for: ZERO to ONE My IGN: BrokenMyth nsxdavid Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2009 134 0 0 St. Louis, MO #19 nsxdavid, Jul 6, 2017 Hi from the devs! Hey guys, thought I'd chime in. Glad so many are enjoying SIEGE. It's been a year and a half in the making. Actually SIEGE wasn't inspired by Clash Royale, as you might think. At least not the battle part, I mean. Sure, we adapted their meta-game mechanics (can you blame us?), but the game part (the battle) was actually inspired by the popular tug-of-war Starcraft 2 mods. We had all of that part of the game up and running before we were even aware of CR, which we learned about only when it launched. Anyway, if you got feedback or questions, I'm around! And we're doing a lot of continuous development on this guy, so plenty of stuff in the pipeline. David BrokenMyth Member Jul 6, 2017 8 0 0 #20 BrokenMyth, Jul 6, 2017 When are you guys going to shift focus on battery/energy efficiency? ATM it sucks loads of battery even in "safe mode" (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
