Anyway; Cannon Fodder style game. Could be alright; only had time for a couple of minutes before I actually needed a cuppa. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #3 stubbieoz, Jul 6, 2017 Early impressions are good. Has a bit of an xcom feel but with realtime combat. You have bases to build and you send out your troops to fight infected people rather than aliens. There are two forms of iap's, gold and Research. Prices are on the high side. I don't know yet how necessary they will be. Very polished looking game, especially on the big iPad Pro. gmattergames Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 607 42 28 #4 gmattergames, Jul 6, 2017 Certainly Xcom inspired in both spirit and presentation, but actual gameplay: a wide departure from that hallmark game. It's a point-click-n-draw, squad-based, free-to-play, realtime strategy game. It has all the trappings of any other freemium mobile game: timers, currencies, predetermined progression and an ever encroaching paywall. My description is not an opinion or intended as derogatory, it's just what it is. If your good with all that and love your Zombies, it sure to please. While its not exceptionally entertaining, it does have its charms and can see it hooking those who don't mind the freemium mode. After a half dozen missions, my "acceleration" meter is about out if juice, and Ive just about reached the point of "pay or wait"; I'll choose the latter. My only real complaint is that in between missions, the game continues to run in real time, with infections spreading across the map, taking over entire cities in a fraction of the time (seconds) it takes to fly your squad there to address it. It's an obvious pay-to-play incentive to use "acceleration" energy, and while "incentives" are to be expected, this one is completely illogical, dispelling any illusion that through skill and tactics, your little squad might save the world. It was really good, but it wasn't squad based. I'm looking forward to trying this one out. I can't imagine this f2p game comes close to War of the Zombie though. Looks interesting enough but with someone stating the gameplay being balanced to spend money, I don't have much faith. I hope I'm wrong though, I looks cool! (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password? Stay logged in
