I think my total playtime was over 5 hours for my first playthrough. It feels much more 'realistic' than the room in terms of the actual mechanics of all the boxes etc., which I like a lot. There are some sections which are obviously inspired by real physical puzzle boxes, which made me smile A lot of content, too. Definitely put in a few hours and haven't finished yet. I'm thinking that it might be a rehash of the former? It certainly borrows things from the series -- not least of it the eyepiece. But I enjoyed my time with it. Felt like another Room game, for better or worse. Also, I found a little disturbing that this is just another The Room. Although, I enjoy part of this game, some puzzles are fun and tricky, other are just hard and very difficult. Very nice graphics. Yes, it's essentially another Room game, but to be able to say "It's another Room game", you need to have a game that kinda sorta comes close to matching the pedigree (and genius) of 3 of the best games on the App Store. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #13 y2kmp3, Jun 26, 2017 I am quite surprised that this game is not being featured or getting more media attention. The release was rather quite low key. The production value of this game is quite excellent, on par with The Room series from Fireproof Games. The game is, however, also more difficult. There is a lot of old style adventure game tropes with the puzzle mechanics, so you can get stuck permanently if you cannot get pass the next "trigger". The triggers most often are strictly linear, and the game can at times turn into a tap-fest. Notwithstanding these limitations (which are not new for any type of escape the room games), the game is very well done and definitely worth a play. cofunguy Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2012 825 0 0 #14 cofunguy, Jun 28, 2017 And still not even a mention of games out this week either, since it came out on Thursday. Sad! waystar Well-Known Member Sep 2, 2014 90 0 0 #15 waystar, Jun 29, 2017 I'm a huge fan of the Room games and so far this is every bit as good. Totally interactive and the screenshots make it look a bit like a more 'click here and there' adventure. It is not! Somehow I suspect TA does this to a good part of apps for some reason, namely smaller company apps, based on my observations. I would mention this in this week's news item but have been "banned for 2+ years" now for something which I have yet to get any explanation for or why. Boardumb Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 14, 2009 8,964 880 113 THE BOSS Sacramento, CA #18 Boardumb, Jun 29, 2017 What a bunch of bullshit. We don't specifically exclude games from any developer, no matter the size. We do our weekly out now post at 11pm EST on Wednesdays just as we have for many years now. That list takes literally all day to put together, and I go back as far as I can with new games posted to the forums before it's time to publish the post. Usually I make it about 5 or 6 days back, and very rarely I make it all the way to the previous week's new game threads which means nothing gets missed. But it's rare I have time for that. This game came out about 5 hours too late for that week's post and about a day or two too early for this week's post. It's really as simple as that. Higher profile games sometimes get a mention even after the out now list, and I'd consider this a pretty high profile game. But we are a staff of just a few people, and with hundreds of games coming out every week and numerous news stories all striving for our time and attention, we just plain don't have the man power to cover everything. Not to mention we lost a basically full time writer this past week when Carter left. Perhaps someone will have time to review this game, perhaps not. I can't even tell you how many great games I'd LIKE to write about that I never get the chance to. So no, you didn't observe anything, and obviously have no ing idea what we go through in order to try and cover the firehose of new releases on mobile. Insinuating there's some sort of malice behind not posting about a game, when we spend well, WELL over 40 hours every week trying to cover everything we possibly can in the world of mobile, just makes you a dick. If you're wondering why you aren't able to comment on the front page anymore, this seems like a pretty good clue to me.
