It does look good from the video. I'm so happy I did! Point and click games are great on the iPad. tekchic Well-Known Member Jun 5, 2009 452 29 28 Female Software Developer Phoenix, AZ http://www.tekchic.com #6 tekchic, Jun 21, 2017 Couldn't mash the "Buy" button fast enough this morning when I saw it! Although I think I might want to play this on the big iPad vs iPhone now that I see how pretty it is. eufeion Well-Known Member May 10, 2016 46 0 0 #7 eufeion, Jun 21, 2017 I hope this runs on an iPad Mini 2 theblackw0lf Well-Known Member Feb 18, 2009 248 0 0 #8 theblackw0lf, Jun 21, 2017 Last edited: Jun 21, 2017 Can't get this to work for some reason. Everytime i open the app it starts and the immediately shuts off and goes back to home screen. Running IOS 9.3 Nevermind. Looks like it was still running in background but was going to home screen for some reason. It still looks great, but somewhat disappointing. Volume also seems a bit low for the voice acting? Anyone else have that issue? David1953 Well-Known Member May 26, 2013 476 40 28 #11 David1953, Jun 21, 2017 I was all ready to hit the buy button as well, but one thing holding me back is the fact that the game is painfully short, well under two hours, according to reviews that I have read on some adventure gaming sites, as well as from people buying it on Steam. However, the price on iPad is considerably fairer than the Steam price. I wasn't even aware of the "less than full screen on iPad" issue until it was mentioned in this thread. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #12 metalcasket, Jun 21, 2017 It's about an hour and 30 mins long, but just think of it as watching a movie/cartoon at the theater. 3 bucks for the level of animation in this game is insane. This or Kathy Rain? metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Jun 22, 2017 They're entirely different. Kathy rain is a more "traditional" game while this is...okay, it's still a point an click adventure but it's very streamlined and plays more like an interactive cartoon. If you're in it for the experience, I say go with this, but if you want deeper gameplay, longer playtime and an overall more old-school feel, go with Kathy. I literally just finished The Little Acre and I found it to be the perfect length. Yes, it's incredibly short (and takes up a TON of space even though the download size is ~ 900 MB), but it's just wonderful. You get invested in the characters, you get your heart strings tugged on a little bit, you see some fantastic Miyazaki-like designs and...before you know it, it's over. Never wears out it's welcome, and certainly something worth coming back to over and over, just like a great, timeless cartoon.
