DESCRIPTION Players are survivors in the ruins of the nation’s capital now overrun by the dead. Potential allies and enemies lurk around every corner. Real-time competitive play and a shared need for crucial resources drive players to cooperate with and compete against each other in an all-out war for survival. Set concurrent with the “March to War” storyline in the comics, players will encounter familiar faces from The Walking Dead as they build increasingly powerful bases, recruit and train survivors, form Communities, and capture familiar Landmarks in the shattered remains of Washington, D.C. ESTABLISH, FORTIFY, AND DEFEND BASES Find safe ground and start building. Grow your base to produce more resources, recruit more survivors and expand your power base—but be careful: the more you have, the more your enemies can steal! RECRUIT SURVIVORS Every survivor NPC you recruit has their own name and backstory. As they gain experience and training, you will be able to customize their abilities, tailoring your group of survivors to your specific strategy. Of course, this makes it hurt even more when not everyone survives an enemy attack or a Walker Swarm! ASSEMBLE YOUR COUNCIL Complete daily missions to unlock powerful and familiar Council members who can help guide you on your way to deciding what kind of leader to become. Do you inspire like Rick? Mentor like Hershel? Or do you carry a big stick like Negan? Only you can decide. BUILD COMMUNITIES Find other players you can trust for added protection and cooperative gameplay. Work with your community to clear dangerous Walker Swarms for huge rewards, or just team up with the strongest fighters and wipe other players off the map! DOMINATE THE MAP Along with your community, take control of familiar Landmarks in the Washington, D.C. area. The bigger the Landmark, the more valuable it is, and the more likely to be targeted by other Communities. How long can you hold the Pentagon? Alexandria? The White House? The Kingdom? ABOVE ALL ELSE, STAY ALIVE The action in this game never stops. Be strong. Be smart. Stay alive, if you can. THE WALKING DEAD: MARCH TO WAR ©2017 Disruptor Beam, Inc. Looks like Game of War as well, the gameplay trailer didn't excite me. sweiss Member Jun 17, 2012 18 0 0 #12 sweiss, Sep 1, 2017 Why can't someone do a FPS version of TWD...this is another time and money waster with little inspiration. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #13 KeKhan, Sep 1, 2017 Please use the release thread not the softlaunch thread. Maybe a mod can lock/delete this? Googgi78 Active Member Dec 30, 2014 29 0 1 #14 Googgi78, Sep 1, 2017 So I must admit I just don't get this game. Click on building, upgrade it, then wait. Click to send ppl out on missions, then wait. Is this a throttled idle clicker? Or does some sort of real game eventually start here? 16bitAindo Well-Known Member Mar 15, 2014 67 0 0 #15 16bitAindo, Sep 1, 2017 That seems to be pretty much it. I love the art style but I feel like they have wasted a great opportunity with this game. It's just not interactive enough. Sending parties out on raids but we can't control anything? This game uses mechanics that were popular years ago on mobile....shame really. Great IP to base a game on but this is what they come up. Why they didn't add in mechanics like TWD No Mans Land or some kind of 2D choice based missions mechanic is beyond me. gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #16 gaymerX, Sep 2, 2017 Tried playing this for a few days but I'm pretty much done with it at this point. As much as I love TWD, this game is not what I was hoping it would be. The design direction of the interface is way more sci-if than zombie apocalypse and too convoluted and overwhelming. There doesn't even seem to be much action, just a bunch of timers tied to missions that aren't physically playable. It feels like another clicker with IAP trappings and multiple currencies. No thanks. MetaGonzo Well-Known Member May 7, 2009 1,459 271 83 #17 MetaGonzo, Sep 2, 2017 All of the above; there's no game here. 16bitAindo Well-Known Member Mar 15, 2014 67 0 0 #18 16bitAindo, Sep 2, 2017 So after playing for another day I've hit a brick wall. Around level 6/7 for your headquarters the timers go through the roof. From say 30 minutes to multiple hours. When you add the long timers to the fact there isn't actually any gameplay involved when it comes to sending groups out on missions you have two options. Close the app and wait for the timers to then just repeat the same thing again or pay real money to speed things up so you can keep 'playing'. I know which one they want me to do but why would I? What am I actually working towards? So disappointed...... darioslzr Well-Known Member May 31, 2011 81 0 0 #19 darioslzr, Jan 13, 2018 Anyone playing on D7? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
