Dead Age Headup GmbH Survive the zombie apocalypse with turn-based combat and permanent death! Manage survivors, go on dangerous scavenging r… $0.99 Buy Now Watch Media DetailsSurvive the zombie apocalypse with turn-based combat and permanent death! Manage survivors, go on dangerous scavenging runs, build alliances, craft equipment, make difficult story-influencing decisions, defend your camp against undead hordes and experience non-linear rogue-lite elements. An innovative Indie Survival-RPG! HOW LONG WILL YOU SURVIVE? Just after the zombie outbreak you were fortunate enough to join a group of survivors and hole up in their camp. But that doesn't set you out of danger! Food supplies are running low, injured survivors must be tended to and materials need to be scavenged to keep the camp intact. The zombie threat increases steadily and gangs of hostile survivors keep you on the defensive. "FINAL FANTASY"-STYLE TURN-BASED COMBAT WITH PERMANENT DEATH Every survivor should be protected because you'll need all hands on deck to defend against the dangers of the apocalypse. Scavenge supplies in zombie-infested areas, craft survival gear and buy and sell equipment to keep yourself and your camp members alive long enough to learn the skills necessary for long-term survival. The combat system has its roots in classic role-playing games. You can fight strategically, learn to utilize various weapon types and use a range of bombs or traps. ROGUE-LITE ELEMENTS Should you fail to survive the apocalypse, you can purchase upgrades with medals earned in previous playthroughs to give your new character an edge to start with. Unlocked pre-apocalypse professions of your character allow you to specialize in various jobs. Each new playthrough offers different random missions and survivors to meet. NON-LINEAR STORY WITH 6 DIFFERENT ENDINGS A praised feature of Dead Age is its non-linear story with real in-game consequences. Decisions you make in conflict situations affect the story's future. You can choose to be a hero and save more survivors, or let them die to stock up on supplies. You can build romance relationships with other survivors or start rivalries that may have disastrous chain reactions. Daily events offer new dangers and situations in which you must make choices that affect the survival chances of your camp. Live long enough, and you'll have a chance to unlock one of the game's six possible endings. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #12 Kainamor, Jun 8, 2017 I see no evidence of cloud saving in the game. Hey I have been curious why do people always ask that. What are people primarily using cloud saving for? I am just wondering because I have multiple devices and still have never used it. TheSop Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2016 264 0 16 #13 TheSop, Jun 8, 2017 Because when you delete a game and reinstall or decide to get a new device, it's nice to be able to continue where you left off. Also imagine if you spent money on in app purchases and then lost all that money when you deleted the game. If you've ever deleted a game and then reinstalled it and your progress was still there, again, cloud save. This looks like much of the same game mechanics but you can sit in a recliner with a beer in one hand while making the trek. paolopingol Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 48 0 6 IT Programmer/Digital Arts #17 paolopingol, Jun 9, 2017 Planning to purchase this one. Is every one else having a crash when they try and 'upgrade' after a death? Gambler Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2014 546 110 43 Gazorpazorp #20 Gambler, Jun 10, 2017 Last edited: Jun 10, 2017 Yes for me it was German too (native speaker so guess I'm a good judge of that - Even though in the settings it said English). Besides, Russian has Kyrillic letters Anyway on to the game, I like crafting, atmosphere, the random events and that stories and companions are different after every death. Also there's still progression (unlocking of new characters et al) despite the implemented perma death. Only thing I'm not so hot about is the combat. Even though there are different weapons and styles the majority of those can only rarely be used because ammunition is pretty scarce for them (mechanic, assault rifle, shotgun mainly), so upgrading those seemed like a waste of the XP points so far. So fights, and those are what you do during ~70% of the game, get a bit tedious and monotonous after a while. So far the rest has made up for that though. Not regretting the purchase but wondering if it'll keep me interested in the long run. And yes, I'll also have the crashing issue when trying to upgrade after a death. But it always works after the restart. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
