I think the developer should make an idle/clicker game of some Sort FancyGames Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 10, 2014 64 2 8 #5 FancyGames, Jun 16, 2017 Thanks . Some actions have timers, some do not. There is no (apparent) risk in combat, so no (apparent) reward to purchase combat ships. Mining is instant with no cost associated, so no (apparent) reward for purchasing mining ships. Not all locations/object are interactive, and as such it's unclear what there purpose is. I would assume "stations" would be a place to purchase ships, but you can do that anywhere, or solar arrays a place to recharge (something). Would expect exploring asteroids offer risk/reward of some kind, hidden pirates, etc. Overal game lacks basic risk/reward structure that gives the player purpose and missing that vital hook that encourages ongoing play. FancyGames Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 10, 2014 64 2 8 #8 FancyGames, Jun 21, 2017 Thanks for your detailed and comprehensive opinion. I completely agree with you. Now the game is a concept and I'm working on it. Thanks for the weak points, you mentioned. Added them to my todo list. As Jayg2015 mentioned before, now I'm working on making an idle mode to the game. So that you can take a break and get mining / exploration / loyalty points reward from your frigates, when you come back. And by the way, what do you think of game art? Isn't it a little bit ugly? Would it be better to change art style to something like this. Here is how new minerals will look like: FancyGames Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 10, 2014 64 2 8 #9 FancyGames, Jun 27, 2017 Last edited: Jun 27, 2017 New in version 0.4.3 (Weekly update) I've improved game art. Game concept gives you a possibility to take a break for a minute or two, relaxining and collecting minerals. To be done with the next update Space station, where you can sell your minerals and buy mining frigate. As Jayg2015 suggested, I'm working on adding idle mode to the concept. The minerals looks way more appealing and alive so to speak. Can't wait to test it out and see what this does for the game FancyGames Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 10, 2014 64 2 8 #11 FancyGames, Aug 3, 2017 Update Working on new game update (planning to release in december), here is new in-game art. But that SHOULDN’T stop you from making the game. You are able to shrink the game down into a playable mobile game but it would be difficult, however by playing and inspecting other space games like ‘out there omega and, my personal favourite, FTL faster than light (mobile version), the construction of the game you want to make and the ideas for making it for a mobile device will become a hundred times easier. You might even base it off FTL or the other space games if you like them more than eve online I have personally thought of making an FTL like game because they stopped updating it. And it has soo much potential! Although I have no idea how to even start making an app so that idea slipped away. If you have the motivation to make something, you can do it! ... also I believe in you I do really hope you read this as I would be looking forward to seeing what you can create.
