So before I rant, anyone know if this is just purchasable addons or currency? bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #3 bazola, May 31, 2017 Hey jsrco! The IAP for the game is to unlock the 3 bonus characters and their spells. The game is a premium game with no ads. In the future I may add more game modes and characters. All new game modes will be available for free, but I may add sets of characters for a small cost. I debated a long time before settling on the price for the game. I didn't want to have any IAP, but the reality is that adding new characters is expensive because new art assets are needed, and lots of development time is needed to add new spells to the game. I contacted developer a couple weeks when I first heard about this game and my search for something similar to one of my favorite sega genesis games has now been brought to iOS . The controls are surprisingly easy and better than I imagined . Not only is it better than I ever imagined but it's incredibly fun and addictive. Been playing this game for week or two now and i highly recommend playing. I usually get bored with games after a couple plays or a few days but this one keeps bringing me back. sparekarma Active Member Sep 6, 2014 27 0 0 http://www.sparekarma.com #6 sparekarma, May 31, 2017 This looks great, is this online multiplayer only (or centric) or is there offline solo against AI? bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #7 bazola, May 31, 2017 Hey sparekarma! The game is not only focused on online multiplayer. The two battle modes can be played against AI (with three difficulty levels) as well as online, and the two adventure modes are single player only. In those modes you expand as much as you can on a large map, and instead of an AI you are battling against ogres and skeletons that spawn on the map. sparekarma Active Member Sep 6, 2014 27 0 0 http://www.sparekarma.com #8 sparekarma, May 31, 2017 Awesome, purchased and will leave impressions soon! jsrco Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Oct 15, 2009 2,134 1 38 Coordinator Seattle https://www.Fatthunder.com #9 jsrco, May 31, 2017 That's perfect! It is currently portrait only (which I do not have issue with) however menues do not scale well (with buttons and text cut off in places), once in gameplay scaling works great. Using iPhone 6S On an iPad Air2, due to the added real estate, menus and text are fine. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #11 sugimulm, May 31, 2017 Thank you for the impression, question, is the single player campaign based? sparekarma Active Member Sep 6, 2014 27 0 0 http://www.sparekarma.com #12 sparekarma, May 31, 2017 Not that I see pre se, however playing other single player modes (which are arcade like) gets you resources to play the and expand your castle in the persistent Kingdom mode (but had not played much yet in that mode) bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #13 bazola, May 31, 2017 sugimulm, the single player is not campaign based. You can play the two battle modes against the AI with different difficulty levels, or you can play the two adventure modes vs spawning monsters on the map. One adventure mode allows you to select the amount of time that you want to play to try to get the biggest castle you can, or you can play it in Infinite mode where you play until your castle is totally destroyed. The other adventure mode is a persistent turn based world where your castle is saved between sessions. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #14 sugimulm, May 31, 2017 Thank you Sparekama and Bazola for the info, will pick up later tonight. Is this like tower defense kind of? Cause I suck at those lol ok I went and looked up Rampart and I like the idea of this kind of rings a battleship bell but I still think I'd suck at it oftheheavens Well-Known Member Aug 2, 2009 58 0 6 #16 oftheheavens, Jun 1, 2017 HA! I am so old. You were playing this on sega, I was playing it prior on PC. I have been looking for a rampart game for so long and I finally found the OG one for the gameboy (color? advanced? i can't keep up anymore) and got so excited when I saw it was only like 3 bucks. I thought "OMG this place doesn't know what they have!" then I remembered I haven't had a GBA for like a decade so I should get one and BAM! They were like 30 bucks lol that's how they got me I suppose, especially since I found the gameboy color in my loot crate in the closet the same day and you can't return used electronics. Oh well. Anyway I picked this up due to your comments and the fact there "isn't any" IAP bazola Active Member Mar 8, 2013 34 0 6 #17 bazola, Jun 1, 2017 I would say that the gameplay of the battle modes is more similar to Clash Royale than a tower defense. Shooting and building walls costs energy, and that energy recharges slowly over time. There are four playable characters, each one with three different spells, and those cost energy too. Additionally you can build around crystals to turn them into gold, which increases the energy recharge rate. The adventure modes are similar to a tower defense game in a way, though. The monsters spawn from lairs and towns around the map, and the ogres will come and destroy your walls. You have to blow up their lairs to stop them from spawning permanently.
