The tutorial holds your hand a little too tightly, and it seemed a little confusing until I started playing it without help. I find it relaxing to play, but I'm not a competitive player, so don't know how challenging it might prove to be on the leaderboards. Where it shines is in the Hero system whereby you get a positive boost when the hero tile appears, which really helps you consolidate tiles - and is what it's all about. This is what will keep me playing it for sure. All in all a great little time waster and a welcome addition to the genre - go get some! But, I agree with others on the board about game's name. It's hard to find gameplay videos for it. You know what I mean. I just found appadvice's videos at https://appadvice.com/app/level-24/1138272073 if anyone wants to check, you'll see the game is actually very easy. QWESTY New Member May 31, 2017 3 0 0 #10 QWESTY, Jun 2, 2017 Thoughts so far I have played this game for a couple hours now, and am just as addicted as I was playing triple town. Trying to get that elusive level 24 seems almost impossible, but doable? My positives are that it is fun and challenging, and super addictive. We all know that "just one more time" feeling, and this game has that in spades. Having a leader board is a great addition, and lets you know how you stack up against the competition, as well as what heroes they are using to achieve such a high score. (mine so far is 17 with 8.17M group 2) Having power ups to help is a nice and needed touch, although shuffle is not very useful(I would rather have an ability to move an individual structure) The only con I can give this game is that after level 10, you can no longer combine your buildings with one-another, which seems very limiting for a game like this. Basically, there is only so much that can be combined before you run out of options, something that Triple Town didn't have, as far as I remember. I would also add that something should be done to maybe mix-up the game or add additional challenge. The missions are great, but don't really seem to change the core game too much. In conclusion, it is def worth the .99 and will be a game i will probably play for a long time from now. Hopefully something can be done to expand upon the core game play, as i fear that the game may grow stale down the road. Adding a pvp where matches create blank spots for an opponent or colors that cannot be matched seems like a win. I could go on, but this comment is prob too long already. look me up on the leader boards! HeadRush Member Mar 15, 2015 19 0 0 #11 HeadRush, Jun 3, 2017 How do you remove the tips down the screen ? Snotty128 Well-Known Member Jul 26, 2013 654 0 0 #14 Snotty128, Jun 5, 2017 It took me maybe 24 hours of playing on and off to get a level 24 building, and I had a great time picking apart the puzzle until I figured out how to get there. I think Ive basically solved the puzzle now, but I'll probably play for a few more days to unlock the last of the heroes. Ive definately got my moneys worth out of this. CraigG Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2009 107 5 18 #16 CraigG, Aug 3, 2017 You're doing better than me, then. I've unlocked a bunch of heroes, and can consistently get to 2022. But 24 seems a tricky one to manage without a lot of luck (heroes constantly converting sets of tiles into the right colour) or bombs. Maybe I'm missing something obvious. CraigG Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2009 107 5 18 #17 CraigG, Aug 3, 2017 Gah. Just managed a 23. I imagine I'd have needed at least a half-dozen more bombs to get a 24 though. CraigG Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2009 107 5 18 #18 CraigG, Aug 8, 2017 I figured out a reasonable technique to get to 24 and finally got there. I'm at a loss to see how it would be possible without: 1. At least two fairly high-end bonus people 2. At least eight bombs 3. A hell of a lot of luck right at the end, to get the right buildings Still a fun game though, and it was a smart move for them to push lots of alternative goals, such as sets of XX buildings. CraigG Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2009 107 5 18 #19 CraigG, Aug 12, 2017 Following up, I just played my last game. This puzzler is definitely worth playing, in order to crack, but: You are reliant on the bonus people for higher scores and such scores are self perpetuating. In other words, earn/equip those people and you'll at worst stay at a new, higher level. The score works almost in the opposite way to Threes!, which is a bit weird. With that game, you zoom ahead when you hit the next level. Here, your potential for the highest block (24) happens immediately. So after each completed building, your next 'round' can only be lower and then lower still. There is presumably a 'perfect' game within the limitations of the system. I just went close, scoring over 60 million. I've seen one score above 61 million. I'm pretty sure that's close to the maximum. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
