However, my load times were unusually long to the server (online only yes) which was a drag. Also, there is energy/stamina timers attached to various things which limits you in how much you can do in one session. The battles themselves are fairly short, no more than a few minutes (I chose defensive deck) There is the usual premium IAP which I'd imagine you could use to,pay to win, though I think they have tried to limit how often you can upgrade heroes/units in one go to stop this so much? Overall it will be a good game for those with time and maybe money on their hands. It's very polished and the strategic depth is definitely there via cards, heroes and different units. As it had different armies and they added more through dlc, each army had different troops that all had different abilities and ways of attacking or healing. Great game. It's still on the store and works last time I checked, graphics aren't as crisp as they could be these days but it is an old game in iOS standards.
