Nytehawk Active Member May 23, 2017 33 0 0 #4 Nytehawk, May 25, 2017 While it has that Gameloft polish to it, the gameplay gets extremely repetitive after a little while. It's ok, but I can't justify the 2 gigs of space it takes up. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #5 dunhila, May 25, 2017 You tap and swipe through the entire game without any tactical thinking whatsoever(which is weird since the Gameloft PR guy said free movement was removed so you can focus on the tactical combat). To sum it up-graphically great f2p game by Gameloft that doesn't add anything new, doesn't change anything old and we are all still going to play it no matter what. Techzamazing Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2015 493 6 18 https://www.youtube.com/Techzamazing #6 Techzamazing, May 25, 2017 I completed all campaign missions in easy mode. It's really fun to play. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #7 dunhila, May 25, 2017 Did you have any problems with the controls?Like 90% of the time the game won't register swipes to change targets and also won't register holding on the screen to perform a powerful attack against enemies with shield.I don't know why that happens. curtisrshideler Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2011 3,097 25 48 Male Video Producer/Editor Texas http://twitter.com/curtneedsaride #8 curtisrshideler, May 25, 2017 Man, the game looks good. I'd give it a shot if there was free roam, digital direction stick, and wasn't F2P. I used to buy all GL's premium games. Since going F2P, I just stopped getting these. And it's too bad. This looks like it could've been a fun game. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #9 dunhila, May 25, 2017 The game is still sort of fun for what it offers but I am experiencing massive controls problem.Half of the time heavy attacks and swipes for changing target aren't registered.I dont know if I am the only one having these issues and Gameloft isn't great at providing customer support. Bay area, CA #10 Artfoundry, May 25, 2017 Ugh, this game could be reasonably fun (despite not having direct control over your character's movement), but I keep getting stuck. My character will just get stuck somewhere in the battle, and I won't be able to progress. Then I have to quit the level and try again. Happened twice now in three levels. Anonomation ð® Spam Police ð Nov 22, 2013 2,339 4 38 New Orleans, Louisiana #11 Anonomation, May 25, 2017 You know I'm not saying your take on the game is invalid, but you said similar things about Gangstar New Orleans and that game is a grind fest barely having anything to do, and is still pretty buggy, chugging on high end devices while looking worse than San Andreas. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #12 dunhila, May 25, 2017 Yeah there are bugs,I got stuck in enemies and you can't fight them once that happens,so you have to let the battle end and lose.Otherwise to be honest the grinding in this game is not the worst,I am already well into chapter 5 and level 20th character and from opening chests I got some pretty epic 3 star gear that serves me quite well plus makes my character look pretty cool. Also the chance of winning a mission isn't right at all,it would give me a red chance of winning and I still got 3 stars at the end of the mission from completing it on time,so I don't know why that is.Gameloft needs to do some tweeking to the game,I think they rushed it out a little early but it is a great graphical masterpiece.I think with this game in particular they have tried to minimize the grinding and the need to spend real money at least for the first couple of hours into the game. It's just not a solid grindfest F2P action RPG clone game without it. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #16 dunhila, May 25, 2017 To be honest so far I haven't encountered too much grinding. There is some in order to get some better items but it is nothing like other Gameloft games,I think they sort of tuned this one right maybe because of all of the F2P backlash in their previous titles.Just got to chapter 6 and there are 4 left, this all in a single day I managed to do. EightRooks Well-Known Member Jan 13, 2012 627 0 0 UK #17 EightRooks, May 25, 2017 Yeah, sorry, I hate to rain on your parade, but while I do like the game up to a point, my experiences so far are making me think either 1) you're tremendously lucky, 2) you've spent some amount of real money or, well, 3) you're a little too in love with Gameloft, if you know what I mean. I've been playing it for several hours straight and got stuck at the end of chapter 3 because you're not allowed to even attempt a level if it says your ratings aren't high enough. Can't evolve any weapons even after spending hours on the Events because the requirements are so high, can't purchase more than one lot of premium keys in one day to try and get better gear - did it once, still fell something like 16 points short. (And I note already people are stocking their castles with troops which I assume are out of the latter half of the game and are nigh-on unbeatable without very high-end gear.) It's good, I think, and I'd like to keep chipping away at the paywall (because this is a paywall; I could be past it in minutes if I just shelled out for a bunch of rubies, otherwise I have to wait another day, start grinding again and cross my fingers). But your cheerleading really doesn't strike me as that convincing. Sorry. dunhila Well-Known Member May 6, 2016 195 0 16 #18 dunhila, May 25, 2017 Are you also doing hard and extreme missions after you complete each chapter with max rating? So what I did it do hard and extreme missions because they give you a lot of XP and you level up quite quickly which gives you keys to open premium gear chests and get 3 star items on there.About weapons-make sure you are getting the right ingredients for an upgrade,I was able to find the ones I need for 2 of my weapons sort of easily. Also try doing mission that show a red chance of success,I was able to do them with 3 star rating at the end which questions why but it is possible. About PVP-so far it has only matched me with beatable opponents so I was able to get a lot of tokens from there so I could purchase keys(yes only once a day). I wasn't lucky and I haven't spend a single dollar in the game so far,I hate doing that and if you look through my previous post you can easily see how inlove with Gameloft I actually am.I think I am banned on their twitter even at the moment TouchiMedia Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 132 1 18 #19 TouchiMedia, May 26, 2017 No free walk around ...?? Really Game is cool but not having freedom of movement is bewildering and killing me. If they had movement with virtual stick and a quick escape dash button ala Witcher 3 the gameplay would be amazing. Now it's just bleh. I'm all for simplifying stuff but automating player movement is way too much! Mrbestapps Well-Known Member Dec 9, 2015 233 1 18 #20 Mrbestapps, May 26, 2017 It's grindy but doesn't require much time and isn't pay2win. There's more to do and they're adding more content every update. Yes there're bugs and it sometimes lags but they're fixing the bugs and improving the game. Anyways I've got way more fun out of Nola than San Andreas. It's a great game. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
