Anything I didn't understand and was interested in knowing about I just used Google Translate to type and find out what it was. Basically you have a Magikarp in a little pond of your own. You can train him 3 times and each turn recharges 30 minutes each. One is a jumping meter Magikarp will jump at and he will get experience. Another is a punching bag he will jump against (all automatic jumping no tap required). In Magikarps pond there are random berries you can tap for him to eat and he'll get experience from them. It also seems you can level up the berries using coins via a shop. You can tap berries one by one for him to eat, you can tap a few of them quickly one after another and he'll eat the ones you tapped. Or also multi touch a few berries and he'll eat them too. Your Magikarp will grow the more you feed him and level him up, and you can enter him in League like tournaments to face off against other Magikarp to see which can jump highest. There are also decorations you can buy which cost Diamonds that look like they boost exp given by the berries. That's about all I can say for now. Hey guys, it was quite a surprise that they really softlaunched in Italy. But okey, we always find our ways to get a hand on. So far the game is quite funny. It keeps me pretty much hooked. Introduction: As I already told you I don't really speak Italian, anyways I hope you enjoy the videos! =) ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #6 ste86uk, May 18, 2017 So far it sounds kind of pointless but I'd like to wait and see as it does look very attractive. I doubt that poor little magicarp will get to turn into a gyrados right? That could be a much cooler pet. The Karp you train can actually get permenantly auto-killed during random events, haha. Such a pointless game, but there is something about it. soapywater New Member Oct 5, 2014 1 0 0 #9 soapywater, May 25, 2017 Would have been so much better if they made a bar you had to tap at a certain time for it to jump at it's full height ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #10 ste86uk, May 25, 2017 Could have been cool but seems a bit pointless has a whole clicker thing going on without the clicking. Takes ages to watch the same things over and over no real gameplay and basically you just repeat everything to gain more trainer exp that lets you do things quicker next time with your next one. A bit like prestiege but you don't get to chose when it happens. If you try to jump and grab the berries from the tree, he will steal your Magikarp. This game is a dumb little time waster but it is fun leveling up your Magikarp and having random Pokemon appear. If you like Pokemon at all, you will like this. Cayleb New Member Dec 1, 2016 2 0 0 #15 Cayleb, May 26, 2017 I wanted to like it, but it's just so boring. Jerry's Game had more gameplay than this. Although, I do like the art style and goofy story, but other than that it's very little you can even do. It's more like a book than a game. brianj22 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2016 180 0 0 #16 brianj22, May 31, 2017 I mean let's be honest, it's miles better than Pokemon GO. tex42 Member Mar 13, 2014 7 0 0 #17 tex42, Jun 3, 2017 At Shawn's recommendation I'm giving this game a shot. A beautiful story on the tragic life of Magikarp. Or Tragikarp. Finally saved up enough diamonds for a serious decoration or boost item. Any suggestions? Tempted to get charizard just cause he's the most expensive so I hope he's the best. Laire Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2012 586 0 0 Overworked Graphic Designer :) https://www.facebook.com/Peridot.Weapon #18 Laire, Jun 4, 2017 As far as I can tell, the "Great Item" that Charizard gives you always seems to be a pouch of coins. Which I suppose isn't a BAD thing, as it'll help level up food and training faster to speed up the endless tedium of raising a 'Karp over and over again to clear each badge. I've obtained the first three badges, and on the fourth I can only clear FIVE of the fifteen battles at max level (27) before I get stuck and have to retire. Then I'll gain one more experience level, fully train a new 'Karp, get past one or two more fights, get stuck again, until I FINALLY get the Great Badge. Then I'll get to do it all again for the next badge. The problem is there simply aren't ENOUGH random events or cutscenes to stop it from being tedious, and no option to speed through any of the training or events that you've already seen dozens of times. If this is all the game can offer, there should be at least a couple hundred possible cutscenes and events to break the monotony. Likewise, what's the point of having three different "rods" to choose from if they're all the same, other than a parody of the "choose your starting Pokémon" game scene from every Game Boy game? It's beyond being a game with no meat to it - there's nothing here at all. I can't even figure out what age group it's targeting. And it's the first game I've ever seen that apparently has a LIMIT to how much money it would LET you spend before it cuts you off. What's up with THAT? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
