That's perhaps the jittery Sonic to Crash's more sober Mario. I really like the almost rogue-like RPG upgrade mechanics here. And that gentle sense of exploration found in Landsliders is back again. Really well done, guys! I hope it works out for you. I will say Crash of Cars is a little less miserly in the new car stakes, but I reckon I'll enjoy scouting out hidden gems here for some time to come. It's a surprisingly deep game. PG: Is it possible not to disable the Swipe Up to turbo and Swipe Down to break options on the second control schemes? The inability to break with the touch controls is particularly irritating, as once again I find the alternative control option much more intuitive (and less frictiony ), and I'd love to be able to break when chasing an enemy who's just pulled off a sneaky u-turn. Thanks! henrycupcake Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2015 270 6 18 #13 henrycupcake, May 11, 2017 I don't think I will continue to subscribe for the VIP in crash club lol... seriously if they want people to pay them monthly recurring they need to give more incentive rather than just 60% off of all cars and a VIP flair on my name in the leaderboard which is so tiny that most people don't realise it's a VIP flair ! At least make my car and name glow with special effect or something PrettygreatPhil Active Member Jul 14, 2015 36 0 0 #14 PrettygreatPhil, May 12, 2017 Last edited: May 12, 2017 Hey! We agree. Price has now been halved. We want everyone to enjoy the game and make progress, so appreciate all the feedback. Thanks for the feedback. This is our first time making a VIP program so we'll definitely be changing and improving all the time based on player feedback. We wanted to keep it pretty simple to start, to ensure it worked correctly and players can see immediate value. Can't say exactly what we will change or when just yet as our goal is to maintain stability during launch, but we will be updating frequently and building all kinds of news systems for the community. Hope that helps! All interstitial ads will also be disabled after making any in-app purchase. But the opt-in video ads for coins/shield will still be available. Can you explain a bit more about what you are asking on the controls, I don't quite understand - what is your ideal setup? We have heaps of options so hopefully there's a solution for you. Anyway will there be more customization options soon? They are pretty limited so far. sinagog Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2014 937 0 0 #16 sinagog, May 12, 2017 Hey! Thanks for getting back to us all. I knew you were one of the good devs. I was saying that the ability to break/stop seems to have been disabled in the second control option. At least I can't find a way. If it were me, I'd make it so that when you touch both left and right at the same time it breaks. Seems more natural to that control scheme than the swipe. Also, there does seem to be a whole lot of slow-down/lag on the servers at the moment. Makes attacking any enemy pretty difficult when they always escape because of the lag. Thanks again for the great game! EightRooks Well-Known Member Jan 13, 2012 627 0 0 UK #17 EightRooks, May 12, 2017 Hmm, this is kinda fun, though it seems... flawed, so far. There's the horrendous lag, plus it seems like every other match is either 1) join in the dying moments, spend thirty seconds driving around, fin or 2) slowly but steadily make my way to the front of the pack by running away and smashin' stuff, then the leader mysteriously vanishes (drops out, maybe, I dunno), I'm propelled into first, points gained for everything vastly increase, I'm effectively untouchable and it goes on forever. The first time this happened I was up to 5,000+ points in no time at all, the closest guy seemed permanently stuck back at 1,500 or so and the match only wound up when I intentionally drove off a cliff. The city's just not big enough to make driving round for what felt like ten minutes or more interesting by itself. I don't mind the F2P trappings...? Prices for later cars seem way high, but eh, I don't buy IAPs full stop (EDIT: well, almost never), so I can't complain too much. But there's too much making the game feel very draggy and slow when it should be fast, knockabout fun. I've only dipped in and out for a couple of days and devs, I don't doubt you're planning on tinkering with it for quite some time, so pinch of salt and all that. I'm still liking it to some extent, as well - the basic premise, the art and sound design, the combat when the lag isn't a problem... I'm hardly your biggest fan or anything but I enjoy your work as Prettygreat much more than any Halfbrick game. Still, this is how Crash Club strikes me at the moment, for whatever it's worth. Not sure how much longer I'm going to play it... Too bad too because it's very well done otherwise (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
