I love the monthly VIP idea. But I don't know that I'll use it forever if I even start. Though I'll probably do at least one month. TheVimFuego Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2014 255 6 18 #4 TheVimFuego, May 4, 2017 Been playing this for a week or so, pretty enjoyable despite the usual selection of currencies. The daily quests and whatnot mean you are always working towards something even if you don't want to spend a cent. Time will tell if the paywall gets too steep as I level up. Gameplay is good and the matchmaking seems fair. thesinmaster Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 80 0 0 #5 thesinmaster, May 4, 2017 Game is really good. Is it made so that you win your first X amount of games? Topfnut New Member Mar 21, 2015 3 0 1 #8 Topfnut, May 4, 2017 Pretty sure all the first games are done against bots. They have all names like "iamaplayer348" and don't get any victory points. I started playing against teams that have one real player and 4 bots though. I am not very far, but I guess they add more and more real players until it's full player versus player. AoiEsq New Member Nov 6, 2016 3 0 0 #9 AoiEsq, May 4, 2017 Weird that there does not seem to be a Toucharcade guild yet. Perhaps I shall remedy that...right now! Edit: Need more sugar (ain't that always the case) :/ TheVimFuego Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2014 255 6 18 #10 TheVimFuego, May 4, 2017 Yep, they are bots, you can tell by the lack of queue time. Lots of achievements ticked off to give a sense of progression. This slows down the more you play, level stuff up and manage resources. It's fun though, I'll stick with it for a while TheVimFuego Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2014 255 6 18 #11 TheVimFuego, May 4, 2017 Just short of the threshold too ... Getting close to levelling up though. I'm VimFuego, feel free to add me ... or blast my stupid ship into oblivion, either way is OK. Depending on the results, this could be a step toward some significant changes in monetization strategies. It might at least open up another option for developers. Or would you rather there was no sense of progression and just fast forward to Level 468 and move on to the next game?
