NEW CLOCKWORK PIXELS!?!?!? What in the world is going on. It HAS been ages! George!!! Clockwork Pixels Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 120 1 16 #3 Clockwork Pixels, Apr 21, 2017 I know, it's been at least a couple of years ... it's great to see you're still around, I've missed posting here I've been developing stuff all this time, just not releasing it ... not entirely sure why. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #4 metalcasket, Apr 21, 2017 Keep doing what you do, George, because it's quite evident that you can do no wrong. I remember thinking "dual stick shooter from a guy who makes puzzle games?!?" back when Darkside came out and now...we'll, you've just proven you can also nail platformers! Great game so far. Just hit area 9 and I'm still very weirded out and confused. Just like with DISTRAINT yesterday, I'm also very invested in seeing what happens at the end of this. It's sort of like a linear metroidvania, maybe? Definitely could imagine it on a 2600. Brilliant music too. Also, offering this at a buck is nuts man! metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #5 metalcasket, Apr 21, 2017 I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we've missed having you around here. Also, release EVERYTHING dude. You're so damn talented. Clockwork Pixels Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 120 1 16 #6 Clockwork Pixels, Apr 21, 2017 Wait, level 9? That means you bought it ... thank you The game's inspired by 'Son of Blagger' on the C64. It was the first time I'd seen a large scrolling world like that, and it blew me away that you could see later parts of the map from early on in the game ... so that's what I've tried to recreate. It is a linear game though, unless you mess up and fall into an earlier stage! Music was written by my computer, so can't claim credit there. Speech is by a C64 synthesiser too, had fun with that. Concidering everything is now free, $1 is extortionate ... ah, I remember now why I stopped releasing stuff Thanks again, George PBSNellie Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2013 1,381 168 63 Southern CA #7 PBSNellie, Apr 21, 2017 Im going to buy this for no other reason than you updated Kitten Sanctuary. PBSNellie Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2013 1,381 168 63 Southern CA #10 PBSNellie, Apr 21, 2017 It's an adorable non-stressful matching game experience. Of course you must love kittens. But he also has a Puppy Sanctuary game. And lite versions to try out. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Apr 21, 2017 Of course I bought it George! Spent more time with it and yep, it's just fantastic altogether. Superb level design (and yes, I have fallen into previous areas!) and that incredible Clockwork Pixels stamp of quality and level of polish. Dailon, yeah...you really can't go wrong with any of the Clockwork Pixels titles. It's a little crazy how well they still hold up in today's App Store. gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #12 gaymerX, Apr 21, 2017 Well done! Love this game. I don't think I own any CP games. I see my wallet becoming lighter today just from MC's comments. ac166 Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 383 12 18 #15 ac166, Apr 21, 2017 Oo looks cool! Does this have controller support? metalwastebasket Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2017 161 55 28 #16 metalwastebasket, Apr 21, 2017 You won't regret it. Even if the games were the crappiest games on the planet (which they certainly aren't!), they're just oozing obvious love from every single pore. I mean, heck...on every single Citadel 1986 launch, you're thanked for buying the game. If that doesn't scream gratitude, nothing does. I distinctly remember George saying that if anything ever happened to him (Odin forbid!), his wife would make sure all the CP titles would never be pulled from the App Store. With these recent updates (and Puppy S. becoming premium), I have absolutely no doubt they ever would be. I believe so. I don't own any MFi controllers so I'm not ENTIRELY sure, but there definitely is something about controllers (which type? I DUNNO LOL) in the options menu. houseofg Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Oct 1, 2013 1,611 82 48 #17 houseofg, Apr 21, 2017 Last edited: Apr 21, 2017 You had me at "Commodore 64". # I'm getting Impossible Mission flashbacks just looking at the screenshots... I love this game and I have never heard of this developer before. It's a simple back-to-the-roots platformer with a bit of exploration thrown in. Definitely will purchase the full version after this comment.
