Basically path finding. Currently you have to tap in the next spaces around a corner to get the character to move. Not intuitive. Seems like every encounter you get hit first for at least 1 health. If you are down to 1 you might not have any chance. Kinda frustrating too early. Good game so far other than those 2 things. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #6 esty8nine, Apr 19, 2017 Anyone, more depth then mcrouge? That game wasn't bad but just a little shallow for me, someone let me know ! Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #7 Jayg2015, Apr 19, 2017 I freaking love this game. Lots of good ones that dropped today. Each move you make the computer enemies make a move. Pick up special moves to save for the perfect situation. Strategy is needed the further you make it. Lots of different enemies with different skill sets and moves. It's one of those games you progressively get better and figure out strategies and start over and over and over. 5 stars JasonHPickering Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2011 119 0 0 Indie Developer US #8 JasonHPickering, Apr 19, 2017 Hey everybody. It's the developer here. I can say that I think this has a little more depth then microgue, and I can say that the game has a bit more then when you start. As you hit certain milestones ( killing 100 enemies for example) new harder enemies and spells are unlocked. I am also working on an expansion right now that I will be talking about in here. I can also say I have an update in the works for some minor bug fixes and an update to the touch engine. Right now you can swipe and in the update if you swipe and hold you will continue in the direction. Should be a warning or something or change it to a home icon to make it more clear. Also, maybe a confirm to proceed to the next level would be nice - often one last item is on the other side of the level and to avoid the exit I have to swipe like 20 times to go allll the way around. johnkittz Well-Known Member Mar 19, 2017 78 1 6 #13 johnkittz, Apr 19, 2017 Are there any plans for a upgrade skills system? As you upgrade skills the enemy gets harder etc I love games like this just wish they had upgrading options or something along those lines J.R. JasonHPickering Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2011 119 0 0 Indie Developer US #15 JasonHPickering, Apr 20, 2017 I am really glad everyone is enjoying this! I am going to try and be as open and transparent with development as possible. So I will answer any and all questions if i can. Esty8nine: There are 10 floors, but remember the game will get harder as you play. BillyOceansBlues: I can try and add the menu confirm for the next bug update. I didn't want to do something for the stairs because I always felt like that broke the flow of gameplay. I wonder if I could redo the level generation code so the portal always spawns at a dead end. This would fix that problem. JohnKittz: I have thought about upgrading enemies, as an example. Spoiler If you kill enough rats, rats that are immune to ice attacks spawn Just like in MicRogue the enemies are more about mechanics then stats. So upgrading some enemies can be a bit harder, for example a skeleton is just a rat with 2 HP. That said I have been thinking about risk/reward stuff like enemies being added to a specific run because of player actions. Maybe the player finds an alter that gives you a boon, but also unleashes new dangerous enemies. J.R. Jalapeno: originally I was going to do a switchable orientation, but I cant find a good way to display information. I think I could rework the UI to work, but the info screens and pop ups would be an issue. If I can solve them I would add it. So has anyone come across Baron Mortis yet? smes3817 Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2009 1,122 10 38 Massachusetts, USA #16 smes3817, Apr 20, 2017 Just beat the game for the first time Very fun roguelike. Quick question though: what does the sword do? I've received it a few times and tried using it but, from what I can tell, it has no effect. BillyOceansBlues Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 188 7 18 #17 BillyOceansBlues, Apr 20, 2017 It increases your attack. i.e. the dudes with horns only take one hit to kill, etc. smes3817 Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2009 1,122 10 38 Massachusetts, USA #18 smes3817, Apr 20, 2017 Ahh, I suppose I should have put that together.
