Onirim is no exception, with a rejuvenation of the solitaire card game that is simply perfect on your phone." - Pocket Gamer Nominated for a Golden Geek in the Best Solo Board Game category, Onirim is a card game where you play as a dream walker, lost in a mysterious labyrinth. You must find the dream doors before the dream time runs out, or you will be trapped forever! Will you wander around the dream chambers hoping that luck will reveal the doors, or will you meticulously explore each room type? Either way, you'll have to avoid the traps of the dreaded nightmares that haunt the labyrinth's corridors. Onirim is a solitaire card game. You must beat the game by collecting all eight dream doors before you run out of cards. You can get them by playing cards of the same colour for three consecutive turns or by discarding one of your precious Key cards when you draw a Door card. In both cases, you will need to make the best use of the cards you have in your hand while paying attention to the Nightmare cards. These cards are mixed in with the others, and if you draw one, you will be faced with a painful choice. In addition to single player play, Onirim offers players an intuitive interface, automatic deck management and statistics that measure progress and success. Onirim includes the following elements: - Shadi Torbey's Onirim base game in solo mode - The original illustrations of the base game by Philippe Guerin and Élise Plessis, with animations - A solo game mode - A detailed interactive turn-by-turn tutorial integrated into the game - Statistics recorded offline to allow you to see your progress - No purchases or ads in the application - Supported languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish For more information, visit https://inpatience.com/en/Our_Games-7-ONIRIM A problem, need help? I call the physical version "Shuffling: The Game", so to have it now all done by the app is going to be great. Insta-bought. That said, the expansions add a ton of variety and replay value to the physical game. Any chance of those being added to the app down the road? slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #4 slewis7, Apr 6, 2017 This is a cool and attractive card game. I like single player games and I can't believe this little gem is initially priced at just a dollar! The tutorial is nice and not too long and there is a detailed built-in guide book. I won my very first game I played, so I am especially loving this! I hope this does well and the expansions become available as IAPs. Instabuy for me. Tell Asmodee that you want the expansions. Depending on how it does they will build the expansions. I like this better than Solitarica. But there is not any progression. Games are shorter, faster, and the decisions you make have a bigger effect. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #7 vectorarchitekt, Apr 7, 2017 Sounds like a Loscil track in there # BaronMunchausen Well-Known Member Feb 22, 2017 57 13 8 #8 BaronMunchausen, Apr 7, 2017 These devs are awesome. I'm loving the game so far. I really hope the expansion pack comes along in the future. I too like this better than Solitairica (which is a great game). Don't think about this one...just buy it. And for a buck...it's a steal. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #9 slewis7, Apr 7, 2017 All 3 are excellent, but quite different. Onirim is the simplest of the 3 and is great for fairly quick play. Solitairica has a great progression and plenty of depth. Card Thief strikes me as superb, but I have not played it enough to understand it and comment further. currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #10 currymutton, Apr 7, 2017 Good thing is this does not have any form of multiplayer... But the game will keep track of your win stats and max number of cards left when you win. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #13 orangecan, Apr 7, 2017 I'm struggling to get through the tutorial - I get to the point where I'm about to open the third door playing a green card then I draw some kind of monster card that locks the screen - I'm pressing everything and nothing happens, all I can do is open the menu screen and quit. The interface is glowing faintly to show you the area you should tap, but I was confused by the confirmation process at first, especially in regard to discarding the next 5 cards or your own hand. The game is pretty simple, but barebone without any of the expansions: I hope they release them quickly! Very nice soundtrack to boot, too. I concur that this is much simpler than Card Thief, but that last game is reaching Michael Brough levels of mindtwisting orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #15 orangecan, Apr 7, 2017 Thanks for the explanation but I've Tried doing all of that but to no avail..... just doesn't seem to do anything wherever I tap VisibleDucts Active Member Dec 26, 2014 37 0 6 #16 VisibleDucts, Apr 7, 2017 I like this, but as it stands, I feel like the replay value leaves something to be desired. For the person asking which is better, this or... It's hard to compare this to Card Thief for me. Card Thief is a solitaire game that uses cards but it doesn't play like a card game in my opinion. But, Card Thief, as it stands right now, is much better. The mechanics are interesting and fun and it has a higher relay value. This isn't a bad game at all. I hope expansions are added in the future. I could see this being a lot better with more card variety. sinagog Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2014 937 0 0 #17 sinagog, Apr 7, 2017 I suspect this new era of upgrade gaming may have skewered your expectations a little bit. The old microsoft games of Spider solitaire, Freecell and the like would have been made completely muddled had an upgradable element been crowbarred jnto them. This is in the vein of those games, in that it's a real void-filler that, in its simplicity and fun, feels like it should have been made aeons ago (and I guess it was as an actual card game quite awhile before this port). Personally, I sometimes find the upgradable element gives games a bit of a disposable feel, and only preys on some baser aspect of human nature to get players to stick around. That said, I am a little curious to know how the expansions changed the gameplay in the card game. Pitta Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2008 3,417 133 63 Male Italy #18 Pitta, Apr 7, 2017 This is, hands down, the best Asmodee digital game so far. A wonderful implementation of a wonderful solitaire game, even without expansions (which I really hope they will add in the future). The price is ridiculously cheap too. Potion Explosion is nice but hampered by some weird mp decisions, Mysterium is a wonderful app but a not so digitally friendly game imho. This one is well made, fast and simple. I wouldn't compare it to Solitarica or Card Thief, but more to Lost Cities or Card Crawl. A perfect 2-3 minutes to-go game which is not as simple as it first seems. Super addicting too. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #19 esty8nine, Apr 7, 2017 Never heard of this game till yesterday, picked it up anyway and I'm really enjoying it, animations are cute, gameplay is kinda short and sweet to go through a run, nice pick up! orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #20 orangecan, Apr 7, 2017 I still can't get past this point in the tutorial.
