Football Clash is a 2D mobile game where turn-based strategy meets football. It has refreshing controls, a unique history campaign and intriguing looks and personality. It's not the usual "move the player with the left thumb button and shoot/pass with the right thumb button". Instead, being turn-based, you tap on grid positions on the playing field to move, pass and shoot. You can replay some of the biggest real tournaments of football with the winning teams in the history campaign. The players have a unique style with very simple but funny animations. Along with the hilarious fake names based on their real names this style supports the players' particular personalities. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #6 Stronsay, Apr 6, 2017 It's a fun system, allows some team strategy, and plays fast for turn-based. Play against AI or multiplayer hot seat. Each turn has 3 phases. Each phase permits one of the following:- Move one player or goalkeeper. Pass the ball from one player to another - the only way to move the ball along the pitch. Tackle an opposing player to attempt possession - result seems random depending on team strength. Shoot at goal - in which case a percentage success chance is shown before taking the shot. Choice of single matches, tournaments and some historical scenarios. I'd like to see more options added, such as buying players, training, formations etc. As it stands there are just the matches with preset players, so replayabilty may be an issue. Avaniar Well-Known Member Jul 26, 2016 246 1 18 #7 Avaniar, Apr 6, 2017 Well i just played the first historical tournament and this game is good in a strange way. I feel it is easy. I have been winning all matches, most by more than one. Goals are basically a matter of advancing along the lanes and shooting from there. I say this offers plenty of variety, but that league feeling with buying and selling is never too much. It is simple startegy but fun J.R. Jalapeno Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2008 663 0 16 #8 J.R. Jalapeno, Apr 7, 2017 Wasn't there a similar game released a while back where you had cards as players? Is this similar? Luci0 Well-Known Member May 9, 2016 103 1 18 #9 Luci0, Apr 7, 2017 I kind of like it! Seems like it could be something special, if it had a little something.. not sure what that something should be lolz, but yeah! Cool! If only in real life soccer were turn based # Playfiber Member Dec 9, 2016 12 0 0 Hamburg, Germany #11 Playfiber, Apr 16, 2017 Happy Easter everybody! We decided to put Football Clash on sale for 67% off on Easter Sunday and Monday, so it's $0.99 instead of $2.99. Thank you for your feedback so far!!! imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #12 imdakine1, Apr 16, 2017 Something intriguing by the idea of turn based soccer or turn based sports... on the Nintendo 3ds they have a game can inazuma eleven which also includes a bit of rpg in between matches. Seems similar but not sure. Tempted by the game but having 30+ iOS games and now playing Zelda Breath of the Wild on my Switch gas made me slow down on buying more games... I've been trying to be disciplined but the sake at .99 makes it hard! Wish I saw more reviews to discuss more about the strategy aspect and length of game from large or historical. Hearing someone say winning each match by more than one makes me nervous. Also hearing someone say adding more players to buy or something sounds cool but makes me think this isn't premium but might turn premium to IAP. Don't get me wrong I'm a premium gamer that has paid .99 - &19.99 for an iOS game but also have been vlburned by games that are more F2P turn with IAP that started premium. I'd like to hear more from others on length of gameplay through tournament, season, historic etc... and idea of expansion and if you think it might move to IAP because tough For developer to add and expand content for free etc... Playfiber Member Dec 9, 2016 12 0 0 Hamburg, Germany #13 Playfiber, Apr 16, 2017 Hello imdakine1, as the developer of this game I could try and give you some answers to your questions. @Length of gameplay Currently we have implemented 6 tournaments, each consisting of at least 6 matches. I'm not sure here because it depends on how good a player is and also on a bit of luck, but I think this should add up to something between 5 and 10 hours of net gameplay, considering only the history mode. If you add the other casual tournaments, single and hot seat matches you have more of course. @Winning each match The difficulty depends on which tournament you play. With the stronger teams it is of course easier to win. But try to win the European Championship with Greece! It is rather tough I'd say. From my experience of playing hundreds and hundreds of matches, I think I have a win rate between 2:1 and 3:1, i.e. certainly not winning every match. @Expansion We plan to add more tournaments and update also the normal teams in the near future. This would be part of the game as it is, not an IAP. But it depends of course on the cost/benefit. If the sales are not justifying the effort we would rather invest our time in working on our next game instead of making content updates for something where there's not enough demand. @IAP IAP in the future are very very unlikely, seeing the game as it is today. It wasn't built with that in mind and it would take us a lot of time to change the structure to make it ready for IAPs. That's not only technically speaking but the whole game design would need to be touched. We would rather build a sequel or so which is free-to-play right from the start than adding IAPs to the current game. I hope that clears a bit of your questions. All the best, Salvatore from Playfiber imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #14 imdakine1, Apr 16, 2017 Thank you for clarifying. As I said before I am quite intrigued by the game. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #15 Sexy Pirate, Apr 17, 2017 Game seems alright so far. I've just picked it up and played a couple of games. It plays where you get three actions per turn. Move, shoot, pass or tackle. And I can see me playing this on my commute to work as it's nice a short games to play. The only down side I can say is that there's big black boarders on my iPhone plus as it doesn't fit the whole screen. Like it's been designed for the normal size phone only. Playfiber Member Dec 9, 2016 12 0 0 Hamburg, Germany #16 Playfiber, Sep 1, 2017 Update Hello folks, we made a big update today: - The players of all 40 teams have been updated, i.e. updated stats and names for all players. - A new history tournament was added: You can play the European Championship 2016 with Portugal. But the biggest change is that we decided to set Football Clash for free now! Have fun! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
