I guess it doesn't really matter. So, um..yea about those IAP's,. What's up with that? I'll wait on impressions. Looks ok though. It's mfi supported, so that's cool. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #4 sugimulm, Apr 2, 2017 Last edited: Apr 2, 2017 Bought and love it! All you Macross, oops, mech fans, buy it. MiFi compatible (haven't tried it yet), IAP only for credits, which so far buys different mechs (6 total). Controls are responsive, gameplay is like Asteroids and Galaga, level based. So played the first and just sucked me in. Friggin loving it! Edit: boss fights are killer! This is a lovely dual stick shooter or bullet hell, with butter smooth gameplay. There are also pick-up's I miss because I can't differentiate them from the particle effects from all the explosions and weapon fire. Everything looks similar. There is so much going on. It's one big colorful light show & I can't tell ecaxtly what's going on sometimes or where I am. If I'm taking damage and from where it's coming from. The game is also crashing right after squid boss battle and there is graphical degradation at times, Hope things get worked out raravan Well-Known Member May 18, 2014 829 38 28 #6 raravan, Apr 2, 2017 Last edited: Apr 2, 2017 black screen on my iPhone SE. edit: nevermind, figured this out. jsrco Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Oct 15, 2009 2,134 1 38 Coordinator Seattle https://www.Fatthunder.com #7 jsrco, Apr 2, 2017 Are those the only things you can buy with credits? So it's an eventually you'll unlock them anyway kind of thing. Or is there more? When you die you can use those credits to upgrade parts. There's a lot going on, enemies and asteroids. Pretty hectic, but I'm having a blast so far. Also closed the app for couple of hours, went back and was able to continue. Also if you die, you can use credits to continue. It's roguelike, so die start over, I pretty certain with the upgrades purchased. Down side, as you level up your weapon, get hit, weapon goes back to level 1. So far different weapon pick ups during the battle. Jean pierre Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2017 320 2 18 #9 Jean pierre, Apr 2, 2017 Iap Would have been great without IAPs. Downloading now! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #16 anthony78, Apr 2, 2017 This is pretty cool. The default twin stick setting was a bit too stiff for my liking but works pretty well when the sensitivity is switched to high. The power/accel button seems kind of useless. More of a juke type move but having it sporadically is meh. But the music, graphics and sense of 3D with the moving particles is nice (even without VR). Jean pierre Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2017 320 2 18 #17 Jean pierre, Apr 2, 2017 I just bought it and cleared the stage 1. --> my first impressions are good, it is good shooter. "Already?" i said to myself, and tho i'm quite impressed with the look and feel of this 3d shooter, i rather would have waited another few weeks. Some more powerful sxf sounds here and there, abrupt endings after a boss fight and no need for the colored dual stick buttons (sight hindering! and unfo no option to turn them off). The special power weapon is...i don't really get it, seems rather useless atm. It needs a bit to get used to the controls and i don't consider them as perfect, but i'm getting quite good along with them, already. No comments possible atm about permanent upgrades. Need more gaming time. The iap's are very fair, unlikely most other games (do the math). I'm not sure of how many continues there are, but i definitely don't appreciate them being unlimited, if it goes to the leaderboard. Always a weak point from the real gamer's side, imho. Tho i can't recommend it wholeheartedly, i'm very glad i took the dive. Really. Looking at these Devs other games/stuff on my store, i'm surprised about such a special title. Really was looking forward to this one, but NOPE. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #20 Qwertz555, Apr 3, 2017 If my observation is right, than my game crashes always during the squid fight (2nd stage) on his second health bar, when having it halfway down, about. Fought him four times, lost the first one quickly, but the next three fights the game crashed right back to my homescreen. Restarting the game lets me jump right into the boss fight, but of course from the beginning...and this fight is rockhard (no upgrades bought so far) and a bit bizarre, cos i'm not quite sure how to dodge his laser or his other fast attacks/bombs. I can take many hits tho. Think i need to learn and handle the accel ability from the default character. Anyone else having this bad experience? Playing on iphone 7, version 10.3 Edit: Though i can't confirm if any iap is needed or not (atm i'd say not at all), i never have a problem with some extra iap's for the impatient players. A chance for the Devs to make some extra money in a premium game. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
