Sadly, it might not make it to future iOS (because it's 32-bit) without the necessary changes. I'm having fun with the sequel so far. The original KAMI has level packs so you need to buy the IAP to "unlock" the full game (though I am not sure if these packs were available originally at initial release). Edit: There now appears a description to "unlock" full game with an IAP, so does it mean that there are locked levels? mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #8 mr_bez, Mar 30, 2017 Last edited: Mar 30, 2017 I'm through to level 87/114 in the included Journey levels, so a paywall seems unlikely at this point! The level creator and access to community levels are free. It really does appear to be a super-generous, incredibly-well-made, free puzzler. The purchases I can find other than the hints are optional colour schemes in the level creator. I've only found one Journey level so far that can be finished under par: Spoiler Level 81 . Otherwise, you unlock them 6 at a time by completing each page. I never got into the first one, and this one does seem better made. But it starts to feel really same-y after just a little bit. Maybe it's the type of game you come back to every once in a while when you have a few min to kill instead of playing a lot in one sitting? Also, if anyone needs help on earlier levels, I made a video: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel And I now have the rest of the levels up here: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2017/03/31/kami-2-walkthrough-guide-and-solutions/ FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #10 FiloMJ, Mar 30, 2017 Are you sure no ads? mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #11 mr_bez, Mar 30, 2017 I've played for 2.5 hours and haven't seen one yet. Yeah, there were significant puzzle tweaks between the versions. Can someone verify the following for me? There might have been significant changes in the puzzles between the pre-release and the release version of this game. On page 4, for the bottom row of the puzzles, there are 4 stars in the bottom left puzzle, 3 stars in the bottom middle puzzle, and 1 star in the bottom right puzzle. Do you have this? Valentia Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Jan 20, 2009 618 1 18 Female Retired! California #15 Valentia, Mar 31, 2017 If the developers pop in here, I have 2 suggestions. 1. An undo-one-step-at-a-time button would be a terrific addition to the game. I really like Kami 2, but I don't think I like any game enough to try to repeat 17 (or whatever) moves repeatedly until I finally get the sequence right. Well, not very often. Being able to undo to where I think I went wrong would be great. Could that be done? 2. Would it be possible to let the user adjust the animation speeds or eliminate animations altogether? Some of us just like to be done and onto the next thing without having to sit through all the animations, pretty though they are. It would be so nice to have the choice. Thanks for a great game! y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #16 y2kmp3, Mar 31, 2017 +1 to both requests from Valentia. I, too, shared the same suggestions. The lack of an undo button does not add to the game's challenge. Rather, it is strictly an annoyance as it impedes rapid experimentation and troubleshooting. Can someone direct my old eyes? Lol y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #20 y2kmp3, Mar 31, 2017 I just peek ahead to see how difficult the puzzles can get. I must say I am not at all fond of tackling a puzzle of this type that requires 15+ steps. That high number of moves can yield extremely tedious branch testing if this is needed to find the solution. Unless the puzzles have discrete elements that can be solved "separately", I am not sure I would be spending my time tackling those puzzles at all and continue on with the game.
