Graphics and sounds are good (except the sound your guy makes when he gets hits) and the controls are super tight and smooth. The IAP are kind of expensive for what you get. New characters are between 5 and 10 dollars each and they each have a different ability or weapon, nothing great. The coins range from 500 for .99 to 5000 for 4.99 (us prices). I guess that's not too bad but they are just consumables and some of the upgrades start off at 1000 for the first increase so even the 5000 coins won't get you much in game. I'm not fond of the upgrade system either. You have your main weapon that doesn't upgrade then you have power ups in the form of different weapons you can find in game that you keep until you get hit then it's back to your starting weapon. These power up weapons and your health (you can add up to 3 more hit points) are the only upgrades. Not being able to buy and then upgrade the different weapons is a disappointment for sure. There also opt in ads in the game you can click on. They are opt in but it feels pushy to me having them during game play. I like the look of the game and the gameplay speeds up when you buy more permanent life; the game starts off kinda slow but keep playing ##. But I don't like having to chase the coins (they jump so far away and sometimes down a pit!). If they keep it like this they should at least add a coin magnet to the game. Although I would prefer the coins to have less jump to them. And fix the IAP!! I feel jaded that I payed $10 and didn't get what I paid for # Edit: I also wanted to add that you can upgrade your main weapon. Your post says it's not upgradable but it is.
