I normally didn't play games that required a constant internet connection, but this game was one of the few exceptions. The game looks beautiful. It has some of the best pixel art I've seen. I played it on my phone and tablet almost everyday; and I eventually finished it without spending a dime (sorry developer). I just made sure to religiously collect the daily rewards, and I watched a ton of ads to get in-game cash. The cloud-saving is impeccable, so playing it across all your devices is never stressful. This game IS gorgeous, and the few times I felt like I hit a wall very often just required the right mix of units/rhythm of sending units at the start of the round. It is different from the beta, thats for sure! ----- Dead Ahead Quarantine/Tactics play-through guide Intro .. .. This guide is made from my own experience. All levels are easier to achieve 3 stars when you have gotten more items from other levels or by leveling up. I achieved 3 stars on a chronological order, meaning you could be able to achieve 3 stars on every level on your first try. REDNECKS & BARRELS (melee & ...?) MAYDAY _ OLD BARN _ LIBERTY _ TRAFFIC JAM _ CABIN Level 1-5 (easy): nothing too difficult. Just use your rednecks to destroy the barricades and use, when unlocked, a barrel or 2 for instant zombie kills. TANK Level 6 (easy): save some courage points (CP), there are waves of 3 running zombies every few seconds. If you can throw a barrel to take out 2 or all 3 at the same time. Send out a redneck every 20/25 points or so. Then, when you have enough CP, send out a few rednecks in a row to break that barricade. (Or don't save the points and keep spamming those rednecks on the field) FARMERS (range) CEMETERY Level 7 (normal): decayed zomvies with half of the normal zombies hp will crawl out of the ground. Save CP for 1 farmer. The decayed zombies are easily killed by farmers. Wait for the running zombie to appear and take him (and maybe other normal zombies) out with a barrel (you could also send in a redneck if you prefer) and make sure you have enough when the next running zombies come to get your farmer(s) or bus. Buy other farmers and let them clear the way. (I used 4 farmers) send out some rednecks in a row. They will either kill the few remaining zombies or go straight for the barricade if you already cleared the way with farmers and barrels or rednecks. ROAD Level 8 (tricky): contains many normal zombies and a runner every few seconds. Farmers equipped with CP decreasing items are recommended. Because you need at least 4 to keep them at bay (without using rednecks or barrels). You could also spread out the "fizzy" & "water" over both the redneck and the farmer as you need the rednecks to destroy the barricade obviously. Save 10 CP for the first runner zombie (maybe you can take him and the puking zombie close to the bus out with 1 barrel) next you should really get your first farmer. Your farmer keeps the zombie flow halted for a bit. Watch for other runners and deploy rednecks and throw barrels when needed, try to get 3/4 farmers and then rush with barrels and rednecks. Farmers damage the zombies and the rednecks could finish them off. After the rednecks get to the barricade your team of farmers will take out most of the oncoming zombie horde. CAFE Level 9 (easy): get that barrel ready. Zombies might spawn close to your bus. To make it worse, a runner will come a few seconds after the level starts. Pray you get a water drop or you might need to save up 20 points for those first 2 zombies. After that, keep getting those farmers until you can move closely to the barricade to destroy it. TOWER Level 10 (tricky): start by saving as many CP as you can, keep analysing the field (by swiping from right to left and holding down your finger on the screen). Send out a farmer and wait for the first runner to appear. Put a barrel on him or quickly dispatch a redneck to take him down and use the rest of the CP on farmers so they kill the first cop zombie. In this level you need a steady flow of rednecks to keep the zombies at bay, as the cop zombies have 10 times the health normal zombies do. When you have about 4/5 farmers you can spent all your CP on rednecks and maybe a barrel when a running zombie gets past the rednecks and tries to kill the farmers. JUNKYARD Level 11 (tricky): get the CP cost of the redneck down. Send him out when you have enough. Pray he kills the first 3 zombies of which one is running. Try to get some farmers. Send out the occasional redneck and build that defensive line. Toss in a barrel if you feel like. BARRACKS Level 12 (tricky): get that first farmer to pre damage that builder zombie. Depending on how fast it or other zombies walk, get another farmer or get a redneck on the field. Getting your farmer squad should be your focus. Once you have that squad and a steady flow of rednecks the barrier will be down in no time. BUILDER (melee) SHERIFF Level 13 (luck): this level is pretty much based on luck. First, get the CP cost of your farmers down. When you start this level. The 3 zombies need to be as close to the barricade as possible. Buy a farmer, and depending on if that farmer can kill the runner zombie buy another farmer or throw a barrel on that runner. Try to get 3/5 farmers, if you are lucky enough to get water drops, get an builder and let him take all the damage. Support with rednecks (or another builder). WASTELAND Level 14 (luck): lower the CP of the redneck all the way as big groups of 4/5 though runners will make it a hard task to get 3 stars. Send out the first redneck to kill the first few zombies. Try to save up many CP and then send out all you got to take on that first group of though runners. If no one gets to your bus you can deploy a farmer who can kill the some rednecks that are most likely zombified after the massacre. You will probably win the level now. If not, save your CP again and send out another wave of rednecks and a builder when the though runners arive, if you had some water drops and the barricade still isn't going down. PRO TIP: use barrels to create an obstruction if 1 or 2 though runners are able to run past your deployed rednecks. MED PACK (area effect) HOSPITAL Level 15 (luck & tricky): CAUTION; TO GET 3 YOU NEED TO USE A BARREL TO KILL THE 2 RUNNERS FIRST! wait for the first runner and though runner to appear. Are they close together? Hit them with a barrel. If not, you're ####ed and will not get 3 stars. If you succeeded, send out a farmer and build that basic defensive line. Save up for a builder after you got the defence right. Main priority should be tanking against all those cop and builder zombies with builders. 2 builders with a farmer team can take most of them out if you use the med pack 1/3 times. If you are really lucky you can throw 2 barrels before either runner touches the bus. WASTELAND Level 16 (tricky): you really need to know what to do here. Start by throwing a few barrels. 2 barrel hits will kill the exploding zombie. Send out a farmer after you kill the first exploder. Now the second one will show up, with cop and builder zombie backup. Throw to barrels on the exploder zombie so you can damage the group standing around him. Get about 3 farmers and send out a builder or 2. Try to keep him alive with med packs and keep throwing barrels on the next few exploder zombies that appear. Beware, don't send out too many allies because if they die, because of the exploder zombie, they will turn into zombies and you need to fight off both the zombie horde and fallen allies horde. WASTELAND Level 17 (easy): send out a redneck. Save the rest of your CP. When a runner or 2 shows you can send either send out 2 farmers or rednecks or drop some barrels. Then send out some builder to tank down that barricade, with the support of rednecks/farmers. You can skip this mission (or do it later on), though you will miss out on a CHOPPER character and 4 helpful items. SAWMILL ~ 5 fuel cost (side*?) Site mission (hard): start by throwing a barrel on the first though runner. Send out either a redneck or a farmer to take care of the 2 normal zombies, or throw another pair of barrels on them if you prefer (as the barrels can slow zombies down, like those runners). A big group will appear now and shrieker zombies appear every few seconds. You need a constant flow of rednecks and builders to keep your bus from getting damage, together with the help of your farmers who can one shot kill shriekers if they run in the farmers line of fire; you need to keep in mind to always have enough points to throw 1/2 barrels if a shrieker is running past your allies. Level 18 (): Level 19 (): Level 20 (): Level 1 - REDNECK (melee) Level 3(?) - BARREL (throw/drop?) Level 6 - FARMER (range) Level 12 - BUILDER (melee) Level 15 - MED PACK(?) (area effect) If someone dies it will turn into a zombie 10(?) seconds later. Always save some CP so you can send our your own wave of zombie killing companions or spend those points wisely depending the situation. You only need to equip the items for it to take effect. No need to lock the items to a character or you might find a certain level harder to do later on. Farmers are the best way to have the basic line of defence. 4 farmers alone are, until level 14(?), able to take on the zombie horde with an occasional redneck running or barrel dropping. After level 14(?) the builders are where your strength lies. Builder zombies are bullet resistance. So it is no use to have a group of farmers fighting a few builder zombies. Originally, whenever you ran out of fuel, you'd get the option to watch ads in exchange for fuel. Another option was buying fuel from the trader. After level 14(?) the builders are where your strength lies. Builder zombies are bullet resistance. So it is no use to have a group of farmers fighting a few builder zombies. I don't think your mission 17 is right.. Are you preparing walk through for 3 stars or just to pass the level? Level 17 to get full stars you need to drink that Brandi or whatever that increase your rage else no way u can get 3 stars.. Referring to straight play thru not grinding until u are too big for that level

Hey devs, I'm really enjoying the game, but I ran out of fuel, can't watch videos, can't buy fuel with in game money, there's nothing I can do but wait. Pretty ridiculous to lock someone out of playing your game when they're enjoying it. So it makes me go play something else. We'll see if I end up back in this game later. I might find a game that doesn't force me to stop.
It might be a bug that's preventing you from watching ads for fuel. Originally, whenever you ran out of fuel, you'd get the option to watch ads in exchange for fuel. Another option was buying fuel from the trader. However, I wonder if the developer has removed those features in the latest update.
