Not gonna get into too much detail right now since I haven't even finished the first section, but the production values are sky high, you're instantly invested in the character and the control scheme is exactly what the doctor ordered: No tap to move stuff. EDIT: Finished off the first section and yep, fully invested now. Obviously if you're into Monument Valley (and games of its ilk) just don't bother reading further. You'll love this. This is basically what I've wanted from games such as Adventures of Poco Eco, etc. that I personally felt hadn't reached their full potential. There's exploratory bits, collecting collectibles (heh), mini games, QTEs...it's just love at first sight. Oh, and obviously you'll get Journey vibes as well as some awesome character designs that are very reminiscent of Brutal Legend. Highly, HIGHLY recommended and this is based off a single level. Can't wait to play more. Oh, last thing: Be warned, running this with graphics at full detail will eat up your battery. skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #4 skylined87, Mar 2, 2017 Well crap, I guess escapists will have to wait! This looks amazing! Obvious influences from Journey from what I can see, but that is in no way a bad thing! Which one is better I wonder? The difference between low and high graphics on iPad Air first gen is almost unnoticeable IMO. It looks to me that this game isn't adjusted for iPad at all, it feels like playing an iPhone game only, on iPad I'm not complaining just for the sake of it, but graphics are a big turn off for me, since I've expected the quality seen in screenshots. I have no doubts that this is a great solving puzzle game, and this should overcome the poor (again, IMO) graphics on iPad, but right now, as stupid as it may sound, my desire of playing it got to zero. I'm curious to see what others have to say about it, maybe I'm just nuts rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #9 rezn, Mar 2, 2017 I watched the video, read what metalcasket said, bought the game. Nuff said. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #10 TheGreatEscaper, Mar 2, 2017 Hooooly moly. This is fantabulous. Terrific. Astounding. Gobsmacking. Absolutely enchanting and beautiful. I've completed the first five 'episodes', and this hasn't had a single dull moment. The graphics are astounding, full 3d camera movement gives it an even more dynamic feel than games like Monument Valley, Poco Eco, etc... no weird textures ala The Room, everything just looks and feels so very organic. The level design has managed to be very interesting so far. Unlike some other games that this may resemble, you actually feel like you are being involved in the level and working out ways to get places, rather than pushing buttons and taking obvious paths. You really feel like you're working your way through some big, intricate temple full of strange mechanisms. There's basically no reuse of set pieces - every level has something which makes you go 'Wow. Now THAT is awesome.' It's amazing how this manages to SUCCESSFULLY be both art and game, and fully satisfy in both of those departments. The way the levels develop is both engaging in gameplay and wonderful to behold - this is without a doubt one of my favourite releases in a LONG, long, time, possibly even my favourite iOS game period. It sounds a little crazy that I say this with only 45 minutes of gameplay under my belt, but once you've played through the first few levels you'll see what I mean. Everything about this is quality through and through. Don't think twice about this one. Don't think, 'I've already tried some disappointing artsy puzzle games', because I can personally assure you that you will have a great time with this one This has turned into a bit of a long comment, but recently I've been quite disenchanted with a lot of releases, craving for something that really feels both like a unique experience and a fun game - this delivers, and I just felt the need to put down some of my thoughts into text. tl;dr: Buy this game. Have no regrets. Escaper's post basically said the first 5 levels took 45 minutes. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #18 TheGreatEscaper, Mar 2, 2017 Last edited: Mar 2, 2017 To clarify, it was actually the first 3.5 levels that took me 45 minutes. It turns out level 4 is GIGANTIC. And what I thought was two levels was actually two different areas of one level. It took me a total of over an hour to beat the first 4 levels including getting some of the statue pieces (which are quite fun to track down). It looks like this one is fairly high on content. Each successive level seems to get bigger and better. Additionally, don't take my playthrough times of levels to be too representative. I consider myself fairly competent with puzzles and having worked a lot with mechanical puzzles, a lot of the 3D visualisation of how to get to certain places in this game was made a lot easier for me. I've also found this much more engaging than Monument Valley and other similar games, so if you were satisfied with those, this will be a great experience for you. If you found those games a bit lacking in the past, this game might pleasantly surprise you. Even I was pretty surprised when I continued my game (it's late, but I just HAD TO), made a lot more progress, and was presented with the 'episode 5' title screen! In terms of replay ability there are a lot of optional collectibles which you might need to think a bit about the structure of a level in order to get. Some of them are in pretty cool places.
