      Hey all, I searched internet a little and found that there have been a few beta build already (be you knew that), but I was wondering if anyone knew of a timetable for its release?
      Or is that something completely up to apple?

      Before you ask the only other 3.1 thread I found, was this incoherent thing: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=392573 and felt we needed something better.

      Any info is appreciated.

      Speculated best guess from me will be september 20-28th

      Probably in sync with their keynotes announcing some new stuff.

      Mainly waiting for AT&T to turn on MMS and tethering I would guess. I think Apple is ready (or close) for 3.1 to be released.

      I lose some quality with my Wifi connection with 3.0 :( So I hope, they'll fixe that.

      That's the main reason I haven't upgraded my 1st Gen Touch yet.
      Too many people complaining on other forums about the wifi not working as well as on 2.2.1. If they address the issue in 3.1 I will certainly upgrade, but I sure don't want to jeopardize my wifi just so I can have "cut & paste!" :rolleyes:

      Quality of wifi is worse. In my room it dropped from 2 bars to 1 bar. But then I got wifitrak and I have 3 bars now :)

      With iPod Touch 2G. I'd always 3 bars with OS 2, and now, I've often 1 to 2 bars with OS 3 :mad:
