anyone noticed this? on wifi i used to get 8+ hours now i get under 7. it seems i also lost a third of my battery life. scrolling with my finger seems glitchy too. It's not smooth as it used to be since 3.1.
Sure you're not just using more battery intensive apps than you used to? I'm not on a 3GS but the update doesn't seem to have affected my 2G Touch at all.
I just upgraded to 3.1.2 and have definately noticed this problem. My battery life wasn't great before, but now I'm lucky if I can get 4 hours of usage out of it.
The battery of my ipod touch 3G is a lot worse than my 1G and iphone 1G. They are more than 2 years old and have better battery life.
what kind of usage, like just playing music? I have 3.1.1 and haven't noticed any change, and kinda doubt that whatever tiny change in 3.1.2 could cause the decrease battery life
I've noticed this too! My iPod Touch 2nd Gen. skips the 10% warning now. It goes to 20%, then dies about.... 30 minutes later. Bummer...
come to think of it, I haven't seen the 10% warning in a while...just 20%. I look at the corner which shows battery % though
yep ive noticed my overall battery life has gone down too. and i dont the 10% warning anymore either. i got the 20%, finished my game, went and checked my battery and it was at 3% lol
same! its really annoying, the lower battery life and no 10% warning. Im playing, thinking, wow this battery last ages, and then black screen lol
