Whoow... Restore + shift = custom firmware for jailbreaking.. This will equal restoring your whole entire (both of your ipods) for a long time depending on how much memory of apps, music, videos, etc. on your ipod! Which will mean, it will waist your time A LOT... I MEAN.. A LOT... Don't do it D:.. Unless William means something else.
I paid $10 for the upgrade for my iPod. My friend brought her iPod over and I put it on hers too. No extra charge and it was done on the same computer.
After reading all off this... I'm mad. I spent $20. Anyways, my method of Apps with my brother is getting on his account and re-buying it for free. Works like a charm.
@ShadowsFall: That's incorrect; any and all iPhone/iPod touch's that are synced to one computer can share any applications that are purchased on that computer as well. @le'deuche123: If both of you sync your iPod touch's and purchase content from the iTunes Store on the same computer, you won't have to re-purchase anything. @ShadowsFall @le'deuche123: To clear things up a bit more, in the 3.0 beta before it was officially released to the public, there was a message that popped up on your iPhone/iPod touch if you tried to re-download an app you already bought for free and notify that it would charge you to re-download the application from your device. This was because in the 3.0 update, there is a "Store" option in the "Settings" application on your iPhone/iPod touch that allows you to view your iTunes Store account information, edit it, or even log out of your account and sign in to another one. Because of the last option, users could have hypothetically log into a friend's account and re-download an app they already purchased for free without paying the money to download it on their own account. Apple rectified this and found another way to fix that issue without having to charge to re-download an app on the device. See the link below for more information. http://bit.ly/VDn6z
