yes; now what device were they one? my friend as u read says 3.0 is the best he has had on his 3g.

3.0 on the 1g touch we tested may be the worst.

ok, cause i was a beta tester... now i have 3.0 on my iPhone 3G.
and it's great. mms doesn't work of course, bluetooth too, but it's stable and nice. :)

    i'm happy with it.

exactly my point. and +1 to our article. on 3g 3.0 is running fine. but on the old devices it's not.

every person who is signed to the developers list (i am) can install and ACTIVATE 3.0... so if any of you guys beta tested any game or app and is STILL on a dev's team list - you just have to find the file.

3.0 made zen bound not having music btw ;)

Well, I tried out the iPhone 3.0 on my old first gen iTouch and I have got to say it is pretty cool. Copy paste is very easy and simple. and spotlight is pretty cool too. AND I am happy to say that iPod Touch users should now get google street view and those extra transit options! woo! I recommend THE FULL VERSION to everyone. people who don't like having to pay 10$ if you're on an itouch need to suck it up. it will be worth it.

I DO NOT recommend paying 99$ just to get this beta though. just wait it out. its worth it.

+1. But you will notice some other stuff laggy or a bit slow. That will most likely be fixed in the full version so let's just wait and see.

  10. Spotlight Question in 3.0

Ok you know how if you type Blo and your searching for Block Breaker Deluxe 2 it will NOT show up in QuickGold. Instead you have to type BB cuz it's filename is BBD2. So in spotlight if you type Blo will Block Breaker Deluxe 2 show up?

ask the dev for who you tested. if you are still on the list you will be able to activate 3.0 on your iphone/ipod touch without jailbreaking (but you will have to find the soft by your own probably).

but i don't recommend it. it's not the best. :) i like it, but bluetooth and mms doesn't work for example, and there are games and apps that you can have problems with.

+1..........but i dont think it's as simple as being part of the beta testing process and then just restoring.

you have to be on a dev's list that is on apple server. if so - you don't have any problems with activating 3.0 on your iphone. cause in other way - sorry, no activation. and this means only emergency calls able.

I see, thanks dude. I'll just wait.
Kinda off topic, but I'm torn at the moment: I have an 8GB 1st gen. Should I buy a new 3G Now, or does anyone think that apple will also release new hardware along with 3.0. I definatley want the latest model, I just don't know if I should wait?

i guess it's good to wait.
and i think you should wait for new iphone too. something will definitely show up... but nothing completely different from last iphone. probably there will be one with bigger memory.
