It costs $10 and gives access to many cars, but I have several questions: - Does it remove ads? - Are the cars directly available in the garage? I mean: you buy the IAP and get all the cars? - If new cars appear, are they unlocked with this IAP, or do you have to buy them? It sounds as if the $10 IAP is a "buy full game" IAP, but you still need stars to fix the cars, right? VaroFN Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2011 4,270 0 36 #3 VaroFN, Sep 25, 2014 Ads? Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #4 Rip73, Sep 25, 2014 Nothing has changed in the game. The iap is still the same as it always was and there is no update available, mine is version 1.7, that would bring in ads or the Freemium mechanics. That VIP thing was always there and it just gave coins or some thing to unlock the cars quicker as far as I know but it was never anything that was ever needed in any way unless your were very impatient and didn't actually play the game. "Called it" sorta gave the impression that you thought it had gone freemium. Or at least that seems to be what people mean when it's a thread in the price drop section. Some think it has but as it is one of the better and more realistic sim racers, thought it was better to make it clear it hasn't. Other wise people might avoid one of those little gems that they really should have a go at. I guess it was a weekend sale to celebrate it was released a year ago. In any case, a great game which went unnoticed for me due to its appearance of a freemium game under a premium tag. Now I can say it's quite premium. It works for me. Sometimes I get a "couldn't connect to 2K servers" message, but I guess it's due to my WiFi. Well, no problems running the game and buying a car (240z) and so on... but man I hate the way the steering works on here. I think I need to tweak the settings... if I can ever find them. The UI on this game is not that great. VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,801 85 48 Spain #13 VirtualBoyFreak, Sep 29, 2014 Last edited: Sep 29, 2014 Pause a race. The settings are there, in the menu that appears. I agree with you: UI is pathetic. I can't still find a place where I can see all the cars the game has to offer... My WiFi was slow, I changed the channel and now it's better, both the WiFi and 2K Drive. I'm on a 4S non-JB with iOS 7.1.2, in case it helps. I already reported devs a non-breaking bug: the wheels of the McLaren F1 available in the dealer are of the MP4-12, and unfortunately, when you change the standard F1 wheels for the MP4-12 ones in the dealer, you can't go back to the original F1 wheels. It's strange there are no settings available through the main UI. The reason I wanted this is the dev behind it was a bigwig at Bizarre Creations. They made Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast) and later the Project Gotham Racing games (XBox). MSR is the closest racer to a sim that I actually loved. I mostly love arcade racers (Burnout, Ridge Racer, etc).
