I'm not really impressed by this title, but it does have that gimmick where you can put your own face on the character. We've seen that work nicely with another recently released game, though, with good results.
Yeah, it's becoming a bit confusing at this stage. The soft launch was freemium. That is finished and has been pulled. Then its premium. And now there's a lot of stuff to buy. I didn't see reference to real cash though on the stuff that you do buy so its possible they meant with in game currency. Unless I missed a real cash reference in there. Its become very mixed signals. I do like what they say about the physics related stuff though and the visuals have definitely improved from the soft launch one so I'm gonna be optimistic till it launches. It can't be more that a couple of weeks away now.
The fact that it has drifting, lots of fun games - dirt, bowling etc., with cars of course. Instadownload?
It does look fun but for 6.99$ I would wait for some impression to see how good/bad IAP's are implemented
Guess my store isn't updated. Doesn't matter, way too expensive for something that is probably an average racing game and not as good as real racing. Waiting for a sale.
Uh. First impressions are really, really not that great. Poor production values, menus are horribly cluttered, the tilt steering seems wildly oversensitive and made me feel ill (EDIT: plus I can't find the options menu to change it, if there even is one), there's very little sense of speed, I lost the first race and was promptly asked to use a free IAP (which then meant I went back and won...), repairing my car damage used up nearly all the in-game currency I'd just earnt... I freely admit this is just the first few minutes, but first impressions matter: for all their flaws Real Racing 3 and Asphalt 8 grabbed my attention inside sixty seconds, maybe, and kept it. I'm already thinking oh God, why did I buy this as well as Strike Team, and wondering why the hell I ought to keep playing.
