But Mr. X, a supporter of the Alliance, subverts eight powerful robots from around the world and uses them in an attempt at global domination! Can Mega Man put a stop to this diabolical plot!? [Caution] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ・The gameplay and difficulty of this version have been optimized for smartphones, so certain elements will differ from the original game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ◆New Feature Rush, your faithful dog droid, can now transform into equippable super armor! His two configurations turn you into "Power Mega Man" and "Jet Mega Man." Power Mega Man Charged shots from the powered-up weaponry of this suit can smash certain blocks, and even break through enemy shields! Jet Mega Man With this jet-powered armor, you can fly for as long as your energy gauge holds out! Each armor type is unlocked by completing certain stages. ◆Sliding Controls Hold down + jump while playing to slide. Use this technique to move quickly, dodge attacks, and fit through narrow spaces! ◆Modes This version features a choice of two difficulty modes. ・Normal Mode Unlimited continues. The continue screen is displayed whenever Mega Man dies. Selecting continue allows you to restart from the last checkpoint you passed in the current stage. ・Hard Mode This challenging mode limits your number of continues, and enemy attacks deal more damage. There are also fewer checkpoints within stages. ◆Options The following settings can be adjusted in-game. ・Sound Increase the number to raise the volume. ・Vibration Set to "On" to have your device vibrate when Mega Man takes damage. (Default setting: On) Note: This option will not be displayed on devices with no vibration function. ・Attack Auto: Hold the attack button for rapid-fire Mega Buster shots. Manual: Each press of the attack button fires one Mega Buster shot. Tap repeatedly for rapid-fire shots. (Default setting: Auto) ・Speed Choose between Normal and High to adjust gameplay speed. ・Key Config Change position of the in-game attack button and jump button. Sean said these are terrible and worse than the old ones on twitter already so I'd say hold off. Dumbass that I am I scooped up 2 and 3 right away. If you turn the Speed to High in the settings it makes it a lot more playable, but the frame rate is still laughably bad. These games are 30 years old, what the hell happened??? pbogits Member Jun 13, 2010 14 0 1 #8 pbogits, Jan 5, 2017 MM2 Sucked too I tried MM2, my all time fave and it was horrible. Started with my usual Metal Man stage. For almost 30 years, I fill up on health on the part after the crushers where the drills drop out of the ceiling and come out of the floor. The auto fire rate isn't fast enough to kill them before they go by. If you get lucky you can maybe kill 1 out of 10. I'm not sure if it's because of the frame rate or if they screwed something up. You really need the health boost too because the FR is so choppy you get hit way more than you should. Maybe my iPhone 7 Plus isn't fast enough? Going to put my review on itunes now. This is shameful. Excalipur Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2017 52 2 8 #9 Excalipur, Jan 6, 2017 In the event that they fix these ports: I think 5 is the best. It has the most troubleshot gameplay, ironing out frustrating bits and maintains a steady challenge throughout. You aren't likely to hear much about it because nobody's nostalgic for it. 4,5 and 6 all came out after the SNES did, so while 4 came out soon enough to do well, 5 and 6 were pretty overlooked. Anyway : 5, 3, 2, 6, 4, 1 IMHO chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #10 chief78, Jan 7, 2017 I don't have the link to the article but basically the debaucle has been explained. I just don't understand how a gaming company, world-renouned, forgets to maintain a copy of their own code before they delete the last version off of the net...or even an emulation of that code (if that's possible). People call it being a pirate, but the older I get the more I see the need for these codes to be online after a 20-30 year period.....one of the greatest gaming companies with several hit franchises, somehow loses their own code.......wow (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
