On my first attempt a couple of months ago I immediately deleted it thinking this is probably too complex and there is no proper tutorial. I came back to it after the release of MiniDayZ on iOS. MiniDayZ was kind of buggy, so I came back to this one and found that now it is more accessible thanks to a better tutorial and the mechanics became much more clear to me. Basically you are on a journey through post apocalyptic Russia (similar to the DayZ setting) looking for your family and for answers to your questions about what happened. The survival aspect is very realistic: hunger, thirst, disease, radiation, poisoning, fatigue, time and day and night cycle, weather, different terrains, etc. You visit different cities on your journey (just like DayZ) where you go around the city looting different kinds of buildings where the loot depends on the kind of building you are looting. You can also find vehicles to move around faster. You sometimes have to fight (infected) animals from rats to bears. You will also need to craft everything you use on your journey. The learning curve can be steep at times, but it's balanced out by the depth and realism of this game. One important plus to this game is that it doesn't need a constant internet connection. There is a free version with ads, which (the ads) I didn't find to be very aggressive. I didn't meet any timers or necessary purchases so far. There is also a premium version which removes ads and offers some additional features, in particular a multiplayer mode. Shouldn't it move smoothly across the terrain? It might be a bug, I've noticed sometimes it moves slow then suddenly flings me to the location. mastery51 Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 506 254 63 #6 mastery51, Jan 4, 2017 Last edited: Jan 4, 2017 it sure is a really fun game! Your speed moving through the terrain depends obviously on the terrain. If you are going through a building, your speed is not the same as when you're walking on the road. The way I do it is use the road as much as possible, there the speed is much higher, then I enter the buildings from the closest road, exactly like you do it in real life! you use the roads. Same when you move between cities, you're walking through the wasteland or through rivers, etc, so you need to be careful where you walk. Noomen Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2014 68 0 6 #8 Noomen, Jan 4, 2017 I didn't notice it back then. The first time I played it a few months ago, it didn't have a good tutorial and it was still in development. But in its current state it feels completed and plays quite well, also the tutorial has improved a lot so now I know exactly what I am doing, I am in my 20th day of survival and there is a lot, I mean a lot, of depth and things to do in this game. I have a question that I hope someone here can help me with because the devs site is all in Russian. If I was to purchase the "soldier" iap on my iPhone would that purchase also transfer to my iPad game or would I have to purchase it twice? You might be able to transfer your save and iap through the cloud save in the profile setting on the main menu. But again I'm not really sure. Also, You can translate the developers entire vk site by using the ios chrome app on itunes. There is some helpful information there, and their forum they just recent posted a link to. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #15 stubbieoz, Jan 22, 2017 Thanks. Also, does anyone what the option use premium set is for when starting a new game? mastery51 Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 506 254 63 #17 mastery51, Nov 28, 2017 Last edited: Nov 28, 2017 Are you using pinch to zoom? If yes, hit the circular zoom-out button instead untill it turns into the bigger overall map. Once the map is big you can drag the overall map around after that. I not sure what the premium set is? I think it might be an iap starter set where you get the listed resources at start for a price. I turned my wifi off and clicked it. It seems to take me to the App Store. So I think that's exactly what it is. Also The premium version of the game is 0.99 cent discount right now if you didn't know? well worth it. Lots of bonuses. If you restore purchases (most games as far as I can tell have this option) when it loads the purchase it loads it from your AppStore log in not the device or iCloud. But as far as the actual save I dunno I never really played the game I tried the free version for like 20 mins but the save feature was annoying so I never went back. I was curious again cause its been a while and I was reading posts. Anyways Im jus saying you shouldnt have to purchase the iap again using the same App Store login on 2 different devices I just dunno about being able to carry old saves over. ZS77 Well-Known Member May 8, 2015 566 2 18 #19 ZS77, Nov 28, 2017 Thanks - yes, thats why I picked it up; £0.99p is a steal (UK, not US ). Im sure when I played the free version just before the update, the map was larger?! Yes, I know about the pinch to zoom and one finger scrolling - but the map before covered the whole of the USSR/Russia; now it just appears to be a section of it, albeit a very large section. Im not overly worried, if anything the scale is now more manageable, just wonder what the design reasoning was behind it - consciously making the game area more approachable or couldnt managed the higher res area maps? mastery51 Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 506 254 63 #20 mastery51, Nov 28, 2017 Last edited: Nov 28, 2017 Ah ok. Yeah you can't zoom out 100% to see the whole map at one time. But at least the map is still all of Russia but now you have to scroll to the right to see the rest of the map. i think It was done this way to make things more manageable because there is a lot of detailed textures now on the map. Some devices probably didn't handle the map very well and this way makes the game run smoother faster.
