I've played this during the soft launch on Android for about a week. There's some differences to the original. There's now pets and a skill tree. Heroes are a part of three different classes that can be buffed individually by various weapons, pets, and artifacts. Clans are new as well. I've not joined one yet. This seems like it could be more IAP-heavy than the first game. Costs for salvaging artifacts are higher here. They've added premium chests that many reddit members were really pissed off about. They aren't buyable yet since the shop closed last week because of a major glitch, but the top tier cost last week was 3700 gems, in terms of IAP cost that's about $30 worth of gems. I thought this was a bit rough on the first prestige. It's quicker the second go around. It's too early to say if it's a better game, or it's too reliant on IAP spending. Rosso Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2010 236 12 18 #3 Rosso, Dec 13, 2016 The changes are so marginal, its really boring playing this. Feels like exactly the same game as the first one. But slower. And the "story" is a joke. Just a wall of text. As a fan of the original and a clicker fan in general, the extra stuff they added to this sequel adds additional levels of depth that are revealed over time. I think it's cool and great graphics as always. Give it a chance if you like clickers, and it is free. There is IAP to remove ads. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #6 orangecan, Dec 14, 2016 From the POV of someone who doesn't really do clickers but spent a stupid amount of time on the first one I'm finding this a bit underwhelming - it just looks and feels the same as the first (so far). I know. It's a clicker and there's not a great deal you can do in terms of variety but it's all a big too much deja vu for me at the moment. indalico Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2011 660 0 16 ohio #7 indalico, Dec 14, 2016 I like the pets. There's options for switching around depending on what I'm going for. It's going to take forever to get 500 pet levels to unlock auto attack. I've played for more than a week and I've gotten 63 levels. The free eggs give up to 5 levels, but it's heavily weighted to give out one level at a time. I've seen 5 twice and a couple other numbers besides 1. Press2Play Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2012 166 0 0 Bussinessman Philippines #8 Press2Play, Dec 16, 2016 The first game make me a redditor and really addicting, but I don't know about this sequel it looks like more grindy and spendy. I think i'll pass. juandg84 New Member Dec 10, 2015 1 0 0 #9 juandg84, Dec 16, 2016 It's like tap titans 1.5, not bad but needs more features, the most important icloud save. indalico Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2011 660 0 16 ohio #10 indalico, Dec 16, 2016 I think the worst offender is when the Book of Shadows artifact is drawn. It's a key artifact that's a multiplier for more relics when prestiging. The game pays out fewer relics than the original. I don't mind freemium games, but it seems really wrong a crucial item could be lucked into early on without having to spend money on it, and other people could throw a lot of money praying the RNG is on their side through salvaging junk artifacts. It's got a cloud save, either by facebook or email address signup. That's how I ported my Android save to iOS. But you must prestige for it to update the data, otherwise anything after the last prestige is lost. Yks Member Jan 5, 2017 10 0 0 #11 Yks, Jan 5, 2017 Not a bad game when you just want to keep your fingers busy. indalico Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2011 660 0 16 ohio #12 indalico, Jan 5, 2017 It's really hard to recommend this when there's some serious issues going on, and haven't been rectified for days. I get prioritizing paid players over free, but the dev really seemed to underestimate the progression difficulty. I got tired of it and deleted the game a week ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/TapTitans2/comments/5lnosl/warningdo_not_push_above_2500_if_you_are_a_free/ nodoctors Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2009 1,212 28 48 #13 nodoctors, Jan 6, 2017 That is hilariously messed up. Be careful though, you're in a game hive of F2P defenders here. Red Reddington Active Member May 26, 2015 31 1 8 #14 Red Reddington, Jan 9, 2017 I was having fun with this one. I enjoyed the aspects like equipment, clans and especially pet collection, and was making decent progress after a couple of prestiges. I ran into the occasional inexplicable crash, but restarting the game always worked fine. Then a couple of days ago it crashed and erased all my progress. After reading on Reddit about other people's poor experience with their customer service, I decided it wasn't even worth the trouble of contacting the vendor. Deleted and moved on. Tidgem New Member Mar 20, 2017 1 0 0 #15 Tidgem, Mar 20, 2017 Lots of crashing on ipad mini.... I saw in your description "Supported devices: iPad mini" which is a bit ironic since it crashes every single time I transfer zone. Please optimize the game for all devices so crashes are very rare. It wouldnt be that bad if it didnt also reset ALL progress since going onto the game up to when it crashed (multiple crashes trying to transfer zone = no ability to progress) This game is great and I would love to be able to play it, but this crashing is completely destroying any hope I have of playing this game. Normally I would just delete it and move on but this is such a good game I decided to take it to the forums and hope that maybe you guys might actually listen and reduce crashing or implement a lagfree quicksave feature every 30 seconds or so. Can people also reply if they too are having this issue. Thanks. jjlujan Member Mar 31, 2017 6 0 0 #16 jjlujan, May 5, 2017 This game is fun and addictive!! It is so easy and simple to play Anova Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Nov 14, 2012 95 5 8 #17 Anova, Jul 2, 2017 Finally gave it a try, agree with previous comment that this is 1.5. The pets are a nice addition and I appreciate the attempt at story telling, but mostly this could have been rolled into updates on the original. Can't blame them for wanting a fresh audience with a new game, but for people who loved the firs tone, there isn't enough to make a return trip worthwhile. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
