Billy LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #5 LordShad0wz, Dec 13, 2016 Ok, I played 2 minutes and I can't take it. There are banner ads on every screen. There is a huge banner ad up top while playing. There are full screen video ads between stages. I've watched more ads than I've actually played the game in those 2 minutes. I looked in the store and I see no option to pay to get rid of all those ads. All I see are options to buy coins to buy life's which should say lives. It doesn't say all the ads will be removed with any purchase. I wouldn't purchase anything with all those ads. I even looked in the options screen to see if there was a no ads IAP option there maybe. Devs please help. It's way too aggressive. But are not big thing, for a game that is free and very entertaining. kickypants Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2016 233 0 16 #7 kickypants, Dec 13, 2016 Crazy how low expectations for games on mobile are becoming. Devs can literally put anything out and people just love it. No matter how bad it looks or how little animation their is. Why can't games look awesome and be good. Mobile devices are powerful. You like beat em ups right. Look at games like Fightback compared to this. I'm not trying to bash this really but what's so great about old school. How about some awesome new school. Something that uses the mobile capabilities. Lots of animation lots of moves. Great effects. Etc. not glorified Nintendo graphics. Developers have to keep things compatible with 3 or 4 year old hardware and the OS it's running. FlynetStudios Member Dec 1, 2016 12 0 1 #9 FlynetStudios, Dec 13, 2016 Thanks for your feedback. Yes, some users says same about the banner, so in the next update, this banner will only appear in menus. Add a option for quit ads is welcome too. Billy FlynetStudios Member Dec 1, 2016 12 0 1 #11 FlynetStudios, Dec 13, 2016 You are right, mobile devices are powerful. But, we must have in mind that some people are playing with old devices, like iphone 4, my brother has an iphone 4 for example. Now, is true, Fightback looks great, but our goal developing Fighters Unleashed is different, we want pure and old style. Now in gameplay terms, Fighters Unleashed have more possibilities than Fightback. In content terms, Fightback is far more robust. The last thing, we are a 3 people team, and Fightback is developed by Chillingo, part of EA games, one of the more big developer in the world. FlynetStudios Member Dec 1, 2016 12 0 1 #13 FlynetStudios, Dec 14, 2016 Yes, this is a big problem, for example we are thinking about remove the 32bit support, and make the file size smaller. kickypants Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2016 233 0 16 #14 kickypants, Dec 14, 2016 . I get what your saying. But I have seen games from a one man indie team accomplish so much more. Why make the game so choppy and basic. Why not same game with smooth animation and collision detection. Seems so disjointed and just so old and outdated. Doesn't feel like I'm playing on an iPhone 7 or iPad Pro. Feels like a game boy advance or a nes. Not even as good looking as a super nes would be. I've seen retro and old for so long and just played them to death. Here's another one that's been done 100 times. Ads everywhere. Ugh. FlynetStudios Member Dec 1, 2016 12 0 1 #15 FlynetStudios, Dec 14, 2016 I feel i must explain why we take some choices that make you feel the game choopy and basic. 1- Smooth animations. As i say before, our art is 3D, so we can take as many frames as we want at any size, but we must be wise selecting the mumber of frames for each animations, because we must be careful with ram usage and build size. Of course we can have animations at 24, 30 even 60 fps, but this is not smart use it. 2- Collision detection. We are using the fastest and better collision detection available in unity, the only way for make it better is write your own, but this is too expensive and time consuming for small team like us. 3- Our goal developing this game was making running even in cheap android devices, so we must choose very well our resources. When you show your work to world, some people will like it, some will hate it, i respect your opinion, and we go to try get better, for example about ads and other things. Hope when we update the game you can give a chance again. It's just so stiff. The juggling system is so silly and the total lack of animation makes this so boring.
