I just spent an hour in game and I have to agree.. it's very, very hard to master I generally hate being forced into rush gameplay and it's no different in this case. I love the amount of content though. There are power-ups and despite the fact I've collected a few I still have no idea what they're good for.. But, video tutorials on youtube from creator of this game might help I guess, I'll definitelly check them out. What I already love is the HELL mode, the mood and atmosphere there is so great even though it feels it's even harder then the rest of the game DREAMLAND mode is quite nice as well and feels considerably easier. These modes unlocks every 10 minutes and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad one, might go both ways. As of right now I'd play them more than a regular game, but it might not feel as special because of that, so I get it. I can't share my thoughts on monetization so far. I earned a fair amount of stars which is the main currency but as far as I'm not sure what are all those power-ups about, I can't guess if the prices are acceptable. I appreciate the option to remove ads with any purchase, but I'm gonna hold on with that as of right now. I've seen like two ads so far, so it doesn't seem being too intrusive. If I'll realize it's possible to play and enjoy the game without further investments (like buying the stars on regular basis), I'm definitely willing to spent some money to get rid of ads, so we'll see. So far the game seems like it's pretty deep with its mechanics, there's a lot of content, different game modes and power-ups. It feels like a lot of effort was put into creating the game and I'm thankful for that. I'm planning to spend some more time with so hopefully I'll be back with more thoughts later. To learn more about the power-ups, you could go to the JEXICON in-game (the book in the upper right corner). Also have a look at mausmausgames.com/jex-gameplay.html for a more complete explanation of all the upgrades. More tutorials are in the pipeline for the next couple of days. Is there no like randomly generated levels ?? Or like endless mode ? It's only level based and then it's over ? countBasil Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Aug 30, 2012 80 0 6 #5 countBasil, Dec 3, 2016 Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Casual but challenging, increasingly rich, beautiful visuals/audio/finishing touches. Lost myself playing it! Each time you play a level, it's different. Because which cards are spawned in the given positions is randomly generated. And you'll need to play most levels multiple times if you want to get all stars. Then there is HELL mode which also randomly uses one of these level designs but creates a totally different experience. And last but not least there is DREAMLAND mode which is totally random. But believe me, you'll have to play a lot of hours to get to 100%. Even the best JEX player, I've met so far, played for more than 20 hours to get all level stars. Most players will need a lot more time to finish the game (more like 40 or 50 hours of playtime I guess). Thx for your feedback. I'm really happy, you liked JEX. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #7 esty8nine, Dec 3, 2016 Ah perfect ok (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
