Glad there is a pause button to allow time for forward planning. The timetable text could do with being larger, but still, great value at free with no ads. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #3 email2vm, Nov 17, 2016 Thank you. Ravi Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #5 Stronsay, Nov 17, 2016 This is so difficult to get into as it stands, and I'm used to these types of puzzles. It would help to have options to run trains at much slower speeds so we can see how each level works without getting in a mess and without having to pause every few seconds. I find the present minimum speed of 'normal' is way too fast to learn the higher levels. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #6 email2vm, Nov 18, 2016 OK. We will take this request in to consideration. We will add a new button to slow down the speed. So there will be new button to slow down. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #7 email2vm, Nov 18, 2016 Perhaps, feedback on the gameplay will be helpful too. Regards, Ravi Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #8 Stronsay, Nov 18, 2016 Thanks for the slower speed option. Overall the gameplay works very well for the levels I've seen. There are a couple of things which may help to streamline operation. Would it be possible for trains held at a red light to start moving automatically when the light is changed to green? Also, management would be easier if all station platforms were eqipped with signals. This would enable a stop light to be set in advance so that a local train will then automatically stop at a platform, or left at green to allow an express to run through. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #9 email2vm, Nov 18, 2016 Yeah, we had that in beta version. We intentionally removed so as to make the game more interactive. what are your thoughts? Btw, in the next version all the levels will be locked and you will have to clear a level before you go the next level. Also regarding the Cam view, we will have actual trains recorded with gopro cam from track view. This will help the player to close the road just before train arrives. Were you able to check the Snow and maintenance trains? Play the game levels in the following order: : L1,L2,L6,L7,L9,L10,L3,L12,L4,L5,L8, L11,L13,L14,L15,L16L17,L18,L19,L20 (we will have them rearranged in new version.) HTH, Ravi Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #10 Stronsay, Nov 18, 2016 My thoughts are the beta version sounds better The game can stand being less interactive as we need time to study the timetable between trains. There will still be plenty to do at the complex yards. I'm also thinking that making it a slightly more true to life sim, especially regarding signalling and automated trains, will attract more players. These types of more accurate sims are popular on PC and sell for around £30 per station! I haven't seem the snow and maintenance trains yet and will look at those over the weekend and report back. Thanks for the suggested level order. The next version with the Gopro footage sounds excellent; and it makes sense to lock levels as you suggest. All the more reason to ease back on the interactivity a little and attract casual players as well. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #11 email2vm, Nov 18, 2016 Makes sense. Will confirm it on Tuesday. Happy weekend! Cheers! Ravi email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #12 email2vm, Nov 19, 2016 We have taken this feedback positively and we will implement the lost beta feature back in to the game. Looking forward for your feed on the snow and maintenance engines. Cheers! Ravi Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #13 Stronsay, Nov 19, 2016 Thanks for that. I haven't seen the beta of course so I hope it works out as I'm expecting! I've played more levels including the snow and maintenance engines. First the good news. I think they both work well in adding extra variety to the levels in which they are included. The other trains follow so close together there is no space in the timetable to run these extra engines. As a result all other traffic has to be delayed while the snow is cleared or repairs undertaken. This presents an interesting challenge in deciding when and where everything should be stopped in order to prevent collisions. It's fun trying to keep it all running. The possible downside is that holding trains accrues considerable penalties, especially if stopped on a road crossing, resulting in a greatly reduced score for the level. However if the snow and maintenance is ingnored and the extra engines are not run, the point penalties are much less; e.g. Level 4: My best score after clearing the snow was 400. If I didn't run the snow clearing engine I could get a higher score of 650. Same with level 8. I could easily get a higher score by not running the snow and maintenance engines and taking penalties for that. Personally, I don't think this matters much. It's just an observation. It's the same with other yard games on PC; as soon as there is any disruption to the timetable then you have to forget about the point scoring aspect. Anyway, overall it's still an enjoyable game and I look forward to seeing developments in the next update. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #14 email2vm, Nov 20, 2016 Thank you. I am really happy that you enjoyed the game. Running the train while the road signal is green will hit the road traffic and hence heavy penalty. The rails with snow may derail the train and hence not so heavy penalty. Kindly share your email id so that we can share promo code. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #15 Stronsay, Nov 20, 2016 Very good. I was going to suggest implementing derailments but I see you're way ahead of me! Thanks for promo code offer and will send you a PM in this regard. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #16 email2vm, Nov 21, 2016 What do you think about the icon and the landing page of the game. your suggestions are highly appreciated. Ravi Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #17 Stronsay, Nov 21, 2016 The icon is distinctive; orange against black background stands out; but it looks a bit static. A good icon conveys a sense of movement, so I'd choose something like a stylised front three-quarter view of an approaching train. Also the text is small. Try putting 'railway' across the top of the icon picture and 'yard manager' underneath so the text can be larger. The landing page could be livened up. Some sort of photo; maybe one of your Gopro stills. email2vm Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2016 58 0 6 #18 email2vm, Nov 22, 2016 Gotcha! We need to increase that. 3> Railway crossing gate 4> Reverse button with train tag (will increase the gameplay area) 5> Train should go auto if the signal goes green Cheers!
