Seems like a copy of another one I can't remember the name of at the moment peppered with some Clash Royale mechanics. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #3 KeKhan, Nov 12, 2016 This one is amazing - really well done. Lots of updates, balancing all the time. Lots of room for interesting tactics, etc. def give it a try. Of course people will compare this to clash royale because it has troops but it's not like that at all. It's a lane battler. Bloodangel Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2011 1,824 46 48 Retail England #4 Bloodangel, Nov 13, 2016 Looks closer to spellbinders ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #5 ste86uk, Nov 13, 2016 That's the one I couldn't remember the name of, pretty much a spellbinders copy mixed with stealing lots of clash royale. It's decent but you hardly get to play waiting 3 hours for each chest same as royale maybe a bit less to do though. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #6 KeKhan, Nov 13, 2016 That's not true, sorry. Spellbinders doesn't have decks, you can't customize what troop cards you'll get in battle. (My main complaint about spellbinders) This game does. As far as "stealing lots from Clash Royale", what do you mean? Because it has chests with timers? You don't stop playing just because your chest slots are full - you still earn gold and ranking. I don't feel your analysis is fair, or even close to the truth, no offense. This game, while clearly inspired by other games, actually manages to make something new and fresh in the genre and I think it deserves a fair shot and accurate reviews. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #7 ste86uk, Nov 13, 2016 I'm just comparing it and clash is an easy comparison chest timers, free chests, daily chest and card upgrading are all the same not to mention many of the cards are carbon copies some are new and different though. Also the way leagues work but others do that too, it's just how I'd explain the game to someone clash crossed with spellbinders. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #8 KeKhan, Nov 13, 2016 I hear you, and that's a fair first impression - but without mentioning how it's different seems unfair. Especially if people are just looking for a quick review to decide if they even want to give it a shot. Again, I mean no offense # It actually PLAYS very differently from both of those games, and I feel it offers something unique which is indeed rare these days. BlueTrin Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2012 376 51 28 #9 BlueTrin, Nov 13, 2016 Everytime you win, you get a chest that takes 3-8 hours to open. So unless you want to pay IAP basically you should play 1 battle every three hours. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #10 KeKhan, Nov 14, 2016 Wrong. Just keep playing. You earn gold to buy cards from the shop and you earn rank (if you win) to get to higher arenas with bigger rewards. Why would you stop playing? Just open the chests when it's time and otherwise keep playing and progressing. BlueTrin Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2012 376 51 28 #11 BlueTrin, Nov 14, 2016 The amount of grind is insane though ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #12 ste86uk, Nov 14, 2016 Last edited: Nov 14, 2016 I suppose so and I've still been playing although only mainly for chests still at the moment so far most people I've come up against don't seem very good at the game and are easy to beat which is nice but I am still only in castle 2 clarknova9 Member Jun 11, 2015 5 0 0 #13 clarknova9, Nov 14, 2016 Takes the 3 lane battle idea and applies the exact same monetary model as Clash Royale. Pay to win unless you don't mind spending your life grinding away for tiny gains. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #14 ste86uk, Nov 14, 2016 I wouldn't go that far I've been playing quite a bit and yet to see that it's pay to win, in many similar games people can pay to get better units faster but not paying you can generally still get them depending how lucky you are get them early. I've had legendary units in clash royale from chests I got for free. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #15 KeKhan, Nov 14, 2016 The strategy gets deeper when you unlock the 14 card deck, lots of interesting options. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #16 ste86uk, Nov 14, 2016 Yeh I've got that one too, hard to pick what to have trying to keep the deck balanced too. Love it and played. If u wanna join to my clan, add me: Sndq pseudoart Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2013 59 0 0 #19 pseudoart, Nov 15, 2016 Talk about ripping Clash Royale off. Same art style, virtually same UI, similar monetization model. Yes, the game play is different (technically very similar except simpler with four lanes instead of an open field and just one objective instead of three). But this is a cheap knockoff. Checked out the publishers back catalogue, and surprise - a ton of games very similar to successful games. This is like the Asylum of games. xelasnewo Well-Known Member Feb 12, 2015 57 0 0 #20 xelasnewo, Nov 16, 2016 Well, I've been playing clash royale since soft launch and Im still going strong.
