Only getting optional ads to open piñatas so far, upgrades seems kinda expensive after the first, but I seem to be getting quite a bit of cash as well. No paywall yet. Really digging this so far. Only ads I've seen so far are the optional video ads to get pinatas that have cards for various items or coins. Not too shocking from Kong. I've played up to buying enough upgrades to unlock getting a free pinata every 3 hours or getting 3 pinatas from watching an ad. It felt like those spawned better coin cards than the normal pinatas. cowtruck123 Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 270 0 0 #10 cowtruck123, Nov 10, 2016 Well it's fun but the IAPs are super expensive. $8 to remove ads, $10 coin doubler, $12 prize doubler. That seems extremely excessive. cowtruck123 Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2012 270 0 0 #11 cowtruck123, Nov 10, 2016 I got a flash sale deal for $5.99 no ads and I took the plunge. Glad I did too. The game had no forced ads but now you can open piñatas without watching ads and triple them for free without ads as well. Super addictive game so far! gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #12 gaymerX, Nov 10, 2016 Does this game just play itself or do I have any kind of control? I know I can launch and I can pound the ground when the bar reaches the max point. But am I able to pound down at all between power ups or anything? It does t feel like I'm doing anything. walmartpolice Well-Known Member May 12, 2012 162 0 0 #13 walmartpolice, Nov 10, 2016 Thoughts: Fun. At first. Really plays of the nostalgia of the first two. Slows to an absolute crawl in progression once you hit the third wall. Your ability to generate coins doesn't go up proportionally to what you need to break through the wall in a reasonable rate. Starts making the IAP really appetizing until you realize it's $10.00 for a coin doubler. Also find the Flash "sales" on permanent upgrades lame as hell. Why not just make those sales the normal prices? Oh. There's a whole seperate IAP to remove ads? Jesus. It took me one hour to get to the third wall. It took my three to get past it. I'm dreading the next 9 or so. Hopefully it's balanced better soon. If not, I'm just gonna run through revenge once for old times sake and delete this from the phone. Also no forces ads indalico Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2011 660 0 16 ohio #15 indalico, Nov 11, 2016 Pinata coin awards went up from getting enough upgrade stars to level 2. Highest is now at 25,000, and all the other coin payouts increased nicely too. I don't think this is a very good way to approach the game, but I'm going for the cheapest upgrades first and whatever gets the discount card drawn. At least I can get pinatas without having to play. kidd546 Active Member Jan 31, 2014 35 0 6 #16 kidd546, Nov 11, 2016 Really enjoying this game. The pacing does slow between the 3rd-4th areas (as mentioned before), but it isn't terrible. IAPs do seem quite expensive, I might have bought one if they were half the price or something. There are no forced ads, but you need to watch ads to open Pinatas you find (basically treasure chests). Pinatas really speed up your progression through boosts/extra coins, so watching ads is technically "required" if you want to progress at a decent rate. I'm buying a new upgrade every 3 runs or so, so it always feels like I'm making progress. sweetdiss Well-Known Member Jun 15, 2009 1,743 5 38 #17 sweetdiss, Nov 11, 2016 You almost have to think of it more like a clicker. The fun is in constantly upgrading things and watching your dude get farther and farther. If you are okay with that, it's incredibly addicting.
